I am 35 years old, just old enough that I look in the mirror and see the early stages of aging. It raises some interesting thoughts about mortality and coming to grips with the fact that change is inevitable. We face a choice - do we desperately grasp for lost youth or learn to embrace the person we are becoming? (P.S. Philosophical discussions aside...I needed a test subject for an old lens that I am trying to clear from haze...it is obviously working!)
Technical info: Canon EOS 60D, Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 M42 manual focus lens @f/2, processed in Adobe Lightroom 3, toned in Alien Skin Exposure, signature added in Photoshop CS5. All natural light from a french door behind the camera.

My Husband and I went out to explore the Marin Headlands. My main goal was to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge from this popular spot. I've taken different shots from this spot and a few other spots as well. Normal I don't like people in my photo's but I thought it would be more interesting with them in it
**As always I appreciate all your comments…Thank You!!**

Yeah .. it's raining again and it is very cold right now for a summer month. Only 10 degrees at some point.
Developed in LR and then processed in CS5. Added some texture to it and it's done.
Appreciate every C & C's .. have a nice day!

Hello everyone. I hate to sound like a broken record, but once again Im sorry for my absence on flickr. My faithfull laptop of about six years took a downhill turn and all but stoped working. I finally got tired of dealing with the blue screens and frozen screens and all the other problems it had and placed an order for a new laptop with photo editing software. Now that I have a new laptop with software I plan to increase my uploads to flickr.
I processed this image in CS5, although I have alot to learn before I can really use this software I really like this much better than the free software that came with my camera which is what Ive been using for quite some time now. Im not real sure what I done to get this image...lol I know I did a little work in the HDR part and a little work here and some more work there and this was the end result. I have a few more images that I worked on yesterday after I got CS5 installed that I will upload throughout the week. Its ok if you dont like this or any of the other images I upload, I really want to know what you like or dont like because Im trying to learn how to use this software. At first I thought I may have bit off more than I can chew with this software, but after a couple of hours I got a little more comfortable with it and should get a little better over time as I learn.
I hope everyone enjoys, thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a great 4th of july.
This was kind of a big fail of a shoot. It was already getting dark and I was too lazy to go outside. So instead this kind of turned into an experiment in editing, I found out that through NYU you can actually access some different programs, including CS5, which is way better than my Elements 9. So I decided to experiment with curves, and I actually kind of like the outcome.
For some reason - my last image disappeared. If it comes back I'll delete this one. Weird.
We've spent the day playing with CS5. :)
For the SFDA group - basically two shots - one a background plate the other the figure with two remote flash heads on a tripod to the right, firing at face height. The end shot is blended simply down the middle to hide the tripod. (it's on the path - with the flash hidden under the star.)
Then in PS there are several layers, mist on the ground, MANY layers of flashes, glows and masked colour corrections. If I do another one of these I'll be sure to make a better note of what was done. :)

A fusion of two shots, a self portrait of myself wearing headphones and some simple light painting for the background. Pieced together with a fair share of editing in CS5.
This was an on the spot idea and I love how it turned out. I definitely plan on building off this idea and trying some interesting things.
Strobist: My AA batteries died and I had no patience to wait and recharge them so I couldn't use a strobe. Instead, I shot with my built in flash through a shoot thru umbrella.

just something I was playing around with today while doing homework, Im a bit of a procrastinator lol. It could be cleaner but I wasn't making it for anything just fun so some of the edges and small details I wasn't that worried about

As a member of NAPP, I was invited to apply to be an Adobe Photoshop CS5 PreRelease beta tester. Here are a few photos that have been retouched with Photoshop CS5.
This is a 7 image HDR shot, the image was sharpened, cropped on CS5. Taken at the Beamish open air museum in the North East of England.
Shot with my Nikon D7000 and Sigma 10-20mm. Made in Photomatix Pro 3.0 and PS CS5. Shot during a beautiful evening in May. The first out of five images to come.
A deer in a nature park. Colour destaturated. Edge blur due to Wide Angle/ fisheye lens.
Slight HDR in CS5 applied
There is no Grasses #2, or #3, or any others. I just thought Grasses #1 sounded a lot more artistic than just plain Grasses. :-)
