Inspired by this amazing photographer...not that i m in anyway comparing myself to his talents! As you can see at the bottom right corner i was holding my camera in the air trying to use live view to see what i was doing!
Another photo from my excursion with Beth and Nan to the Oceano dunes. I used HDR Pro in CS5, three exposures.

As we were driving the long road out of the park the sun started to dip down through the trees. A fairly large handful of photographers were all pulled off at this same viewpoint trying to capture the scene in front of them so I thought I'd join in. thanks to Lee the Japanese tourist for giving me some advice on the scene as well, I think it worked well.
This is a Polariser and ND8 for abour 5 seconds.
this is so different but i kinda like it.
i hate doing presentations, i hate talking in the class. asdfghjkl

The Stage Coach Road parallels Highway 101 and San Luis Obispo Creek through the shade of Cuesta Canyon while heading up to the Cuesta Grade summit. This historic road was formerly the Old Padre Trail, dating back to the 1700s. The Old Padre Trail was a primary route connecting San Luis Obispo with the northern inland valleys. Although the Stagecoach Road may be used by motor vehicles, it is primarily used for hiking and biking.
ABOUT THIS IMAGE:
On this day, I had been longing to check out Old Stage Coach Road. It had been a long time since I had been there. I had some business to do on this morning, so I decided to take a look afterwards. It is only a short drive. Although it was a bright midday, I was very happy to get in a few good captures. I loved how this tree leaves were brightly lit at the top and in shadow down below.
The new Flickr view is definitely so much better - I like it ;)
#1 on Flickr's Explore, June 26 2010. If that means anything...
Shot at the Dutch coast while there was a strong wind. I've recorded an HD movie of this scene. Just to get an impression how this really looks like.
This was actually low tide, you can't see the posts at high tide.

Its tricky getting back into the swing of things on flickr...finding grups where people are "active, socialable and the like ;)" Feel like a newbie again!
Default place to go in Manchester when trying out new things. 11 exposures whilst walking around the base, dropped on top of each other in CS5 in Darken blend mode and a quick mono conversion. Have a look here www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/artists/artpages/idris_khan_bec...
if you are new to Idris Khan then have a trawl around the internet as what I've described above is basically how to do it...

I have gone for an impressionist view of this elegant tree as it surrenders to autumn's colors. There was a natural composition point under this tree's foliage that I was delighted to find.

I shot this last friday night as the fog was just starting to settle in to the valley. About five minutes after I shot this photo I couldn't see a one hundred feet in front of me.
This image was created one single RAW file processedd in Lightroom and then fine tuned in CS5. It is amazing what a little white balance adjustment can do for the overall feel.
