This marks the day of my attempt at a 365 project (sort of) - I like to call it a "Maintain. Discover. Create." Project. I am not big on deadlines or time constraints (too much stress). But I will make more of an effort to post more and reach new creative heights with my photography.

We’re creating a Haunted House with lower-school students in our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français this fall.
In this after-school workshop, students are building a fantasy world together, with magical creatures, ghosts, witches and other animated characters inspired by Halloween.
We are combining arts and technology to bring their creations to life: each student will have their own room in our haunted house, and they will learn to build simple robots with motors and Arduino, then play with lights and sounds to tell their stories for our ‘show and tell’.
For our first class, we invited students to plan their Haunted House together, then design their rooms and characters, to be featured inside their cardboard ‘wonderboxes.’ My associate Sarah Brewer showed them how to create their own electronic circuit to light up an LED, using copper tape to connect the LED to the battery.
We teach this class to students in grades 4 and 5 at the Lycée Français in Sausalito, every Thursday at 3:30pm, from September 15 to December 15, 2016.

This widdle guy is my visually impaired explorer. He likes the kitchen because he can explore with his nose instead of his eyes. Hedeki likes to play in flour bowls and he uses spoons as his walking sticks. The only issue is keeping him OUT of the sugar container....Sugar doesn't eve have smell!!!!
Any who, Hedeki loves his open space in the kitchen and likes the feel of the warm sun light of a good evening sunset. He does this thing where he stares out the window longingly.....can he see?
"Woman is born to create. In creating she becomes herself, accomplishes her destiny. Her whole life is only an initiation into creative power. To create is not merely to make a work. It is to give of ones own individuality."

I really like the light on Yasmine here and the play with the tulle fabric. I like the way the tulle is frozen in the air and makes the image a little surreal
This is what happens when you buy a cheap bike off the internet. The bike company is Create but to be honest they are all the same. Very cheap materials used in the handlebars led to metal fatigue - after eight months. This particular break happened whilst I was riding and very luckily on a quiet street. No surprise I didn't stand a chance and the crash was quick and brutal.
So please Beware! don't go cheap, buy a proper bike from a respectable retailer.

*LFTrial Shuttle was created by NASA, long before the actual shuttle would be taken out of service. LF stands for Life Finder, meaning the shuttle is designed for finding extraterrestrial life on nearby planets. Due to its objective, the engineers at NASA had to come up with a new engine design capable of more speed and less fuel. They had to make a compromise so they built an engine that is running on plutonium. Basically, it’s a small nuclear reactor packed inside a box capable of withstanding great heat and shocks, being almost indestructible, acting like a wall between the radiations and the astronauts. It is capable of reaching speeds of over 100.000km/s while in space. This means the average duration of a mission will be around 10 years. Source: NASA-press*
Okay, it kinda looks like the Discovery Shuttle from LEGO, but I can assure you that is completely different. The overall dimensions are bigger (including the satellite). The original design was completely different but due to lack of pieces (mostly for wings) I redesign it in a very short while looking like this. Comments and critiques are more than welcome.
