Title: Present and Past Culture
Teacher: Jennifer Jackson Bass
Theme: Historical references to past and current views of Grafitti
Materials: Acrylic Paints and Pencils. I sketch everything out then added the paint.
Did you enjoy this project? Yes, I did! It was something I had to put my mind and time into. It was a new way of coloring my art and I had a lot of fun doing it! ;)
About: My Artwork is about how graffiti started. It started with people using homemade inks markers as "cave art" and evolved into tag walling but over the years more creativity was put in them. How our culture interprets graffiti has also changed. There has been a huge shift in how it is perceived. The differences in your works let people know who you are, like a visual signature.

My friend Bill Westerman, along with his super kind wife Ilana, run this cool company in California called Create with context.
They work in helping other companies to improve, innovate and evolve in terms of technology according to people's specific needs.
They have worked with important clients such as Adobe, Yahoo, Amway, Panasonic, Ebay, IBM among others.
They ask me to illustrate their 2010 bussiness calendar. The topic, of course, people.
Different people=different aproach to technology.
So, ¡¡here are the images!!!!

Title: Thunder Car: Powered by the Rain
Teacher: Heather L Moschberger
Theme: Inventions
Materials and techniques: Tempera paint and marker.
Did you enjoy this project? Yes.
About: My artwork is about a car that is powered by rain. Instead of polluting the air with gas and smoke, the water evaporates into steam. There are multiple greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere polluting our atmosphere. Using steam will help eliminate these harmful gasses from the environment and create a healthier world.

This is what you will have created when you complete the free Get Started With Terragen2 tutorial that you can pick up at the link below.

Many people have been discouraged by the steep learning curve that faces them when first confronted with the program's user interface. My tutorial will take you on a step-by-step journey to create this mountain scene. The tutorial is very easy to follow, and it is compiled in a pdf format to make it as accessible as possible. When you have completed it you should have the confidence to start creating your own Terragen 2 scenes.
Good luck

For my last quarter at UC Santa Cruz, I was finally able to take intro to photo. this batch is taken from my first assignment: the photo scavenger hunt. We basically had to go down a list of things that were supposed to inspire us to shoot a variety of different things. I had fun with it. The category each picture is from is the name of each photo.

What lies before
us and what
lies behind us
is but a small
matter compared
to what lies within us.

The need to create is one of the strongest and most beautiful desires we humans have. There is such power and magic in creating Beauty in any of her forms. For me the need to create is sometimes overwhelming, almost suffocating. The need to create Beauty is all consuming. I believe that all of us are driven to find someway to express ourselves, find our own individuality, to share with others who we truly are. And what is more beautiful and powerful, overwhelming and magical, than creating life? Aren't we all drawn to creating something that has a little bit of our soul mixed in? The photo above is of a painting I did last night while thinking of my own little one that I learned was on their way only a week ago. I have life growing in me, each day it grows bigger and stronger. And it is breathtakingly wonderful, and beautiful. I want to make a life for this child to be wondrous and full of light. I want to create a place of love, in and out of my being. A place where dreams come true. I am going to be a mother.
