Did you enjoy this project? Yes, the group thoroughly enjoyed workin on this project. We hope everyone will enjoy our art.
About: The students were presented with the Theme of Life on Mars. We decided to cut a large piece of red material, because Mars can be referred to as the "Red Planet", into irregularly shaped pieces to resemble a puzzle. Each student was given a piece of the puzzle, so to speak, and asked to paint their idea of "Life on Mars." The pieces were reassemble and glued to a mostly black and printed piece of cloth.

We create material things for the sake of art...we study the colors, the textures, the materials used, the forms, the subject...when our greatest art teacher is God Our Creator...when we have been given God-given Nature to appreciate...and when we appreciate the God-made art in nature...then eventually we yearn to protect it...rather than making material things for daily use, decorative, or self-glorification...but we take the path of Our Creator who blessed us with art for free...and in turn we learn to make material things artistically...to share and give these generously to others...then Holy Virtues of Love becomes an art...being creative in doing good deeds for others...

Márcia Krone created an amazing unit that she meaningfuly called LEGO. It has lots and lots of possibilities and, aware of that, Márcia not only designed several models using it but also started the project “Giramódulo”. In this project it is created a chain of folders with each one making a design using one or several LEGO modules and after that invinting another folder for the challenge.
I named this one Márcia because it was made with Márcia’s unit, the curls were inpired in several models of her and I owe Márcia these very 1st modulars of mine.

Daily cremations take place along the sacred Bagmati River in front of the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. I definitely had mixed emotions regarding viewing cremation. I didn’t know what to expect or how I would feel, but I decided to enter the area and stay as long as I felt comfortable.
Walking toward the puffs of black smoke ascending from stone cremation platforms along the Bagmati River was very eerie at first, especially when I knew that the smoke was coming from bodies that were burning . . . and, not knowing what to expect, I thought I might see recognizable bodies on fire.
As I walked closer to that area I was concerned about breathing in the smoke and I was a bit afraid that I could be exposing myself to disease, but the more I saw, the more intrigued I became.
The preparation of the body for cremation along the Bagmati River is really beautiful and something to see. Family/friends come with marigolds to adorn the body and the area around the body. It was a ritualistic ceremony with lots of detail which of course I did not fully understand.
What I did understand was the love and compassion the family/friends demonstrated during the cremation ceremony. I was able to watch some of the preparation for a deceased man and was able to follow the procession to his cremation platform.
I was moved by what I saw. Looking at my pictures and remembering what I experienced I feel honored to have been with this man at such an important time. It was nice that he was accompanied by family and friends at the very end, and I’m sure the family/friends were honored to be there.
My father was cremated in 2005, but of course none of us were present during his cremation. After his death at home we knelt around him and prayed the Rosary. Then we sat around him and talked. In the morning, when people from the mortuary came to take him, everyone left the room but me. I helped put Dad in the bag and helped take him from the house. They let me do the final zip of the bag once he was in the mortuary vehicle. I thought of my dad while watching the cremation of the Nepalese man.
Pashupatinath Temple is Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the greatest Shiva sites. A translation for Shiva is “The Auspicious One” or “Great God”. Shiva is a popular Hindu deity.
This extensive Hindu precinct is a collection of temples raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati River and is included as one of the seven monument groups in UNESCO’s designation of Kathmandu Valley as a cultural heritage site.

They work in helping other companies to improve, innovate and evolve in terms of technology according to people's specific needs.
They have worked with important clients such as Adobe, Yahoo, Amway, Panasonic, Ebay, IBM among others.
They ask me to illustrate their 2010 bussiness calendar. The topic, of course, people.
Different people=different aproach to technology.

Upgrading the Cold Lake Fish Hatchery will create more than 40 jobs while improving the facility to reduce operating costs and help protect it and Alberta’s lakes, rivers and streams from disease.
A total of $10.3 million will be invested in a refurbishment that features construction of a new recirculating aquaculture system and upgrades to key operating and mechanical systems. This refurbishment will allow for the reuse of water during operations, which will significantly reduce utility costs and water use.
“Alberta’s government is taking action now to get folks back to work while ensuring our province can continue to grow in the years to come. Stocked fisheries generate more than $166 million in economic activity each year in our province. Investments in provincial fish hatcheries support the significant economic role fishing has in the province – and will get Albertans back to work.” said Premier Jason Kenney, during the announcement at the fish hatchery in Cold Lake, Alberta on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
