The final iteration of the P5 appeared in September 1967. Now powered by the 3,528-cubic-centimetre (215.3 cu in) Rover V8 engine also used in the 3500, the car was badged as the "3.5 Litre", and commonly known as the 3½ Litre. The final letter in the "P5B" model name came from Buick, the engine's originator. Rover did not have the budget to develop a new engine, hence they chose to redevelop the lightweight aluminium engine available from Buick.
Output of 160 hp (120 kW) was claimed along with improved torque. When introduced in 1967 the Buick designed V8 produced 160 PS (118 kW; 158 hp) at 5,200 rpm and 210 lb⋅ft (280 N⋅m) of torque at 2,600 rpm.
The exterior was mostly unchanged, apart from bold '3.5 Litre' badging, a pair of fog lights which were added below the head lights, creating a striking 4 light array, and the fitting of chrome Rostyle wheels with black painted inserts. The P5B existed as both the 4-door coupé and saloon body style until end of production. Production ended in 1973, by when 9,099 coupés and 11,501 saloons had been built.
The 3½ Litre saloon variant was a favourite of high-ranking Government Ministers, and served as Prime Ministerial transport for Harold Wilson, Edward Heath, James Callaghan and Margaret Thatcher. As testament to their suitability, the last batch of P5Bs to roll off the Rover line in June 1973 was purchased by the British government and placed in storage, to be released for government use as required.
As for most of the models built his November, the Rover P5B 3.5 Litre is a major redesign of a previously created model. In LUGNuts there was a build challenge named 'Redo or Redemption' just for this type of build.

Participants: Antonio Smith-Plata (age 9) and Julia Smith-Plata (age 6) designed and created the panel – I am their Nana (Pamela Smith) -- I provided the supplies for the project, contacted Sue Coccia for permission to use her art and paid the fee.

Materials and Techniques Used:
With permission from Sue Coccia -- colored some of her art panels with watercolor pencils. Scanned them into the computer and printed them onto fabric. Used steam a seam 2 to fuse the pictures onto a background fabric. Added a border. Quilted the project. Bound the edge with yarn fibers.
What is your artwork about?
We are Antonio (age 9) and Julia (age (6). We made a quilt panel with our cousins and our Nana two years ago. Now that we are older we wanted to try to do one by ourselves – next year is the Arizona centennial – wit permission we used Sue Coccia art pages with a southwest theme for our quilt. The border is a specially designed Arizona centennial fabric. We hope our quilt is chosen to be shown in Phoenix as we live there. We have done some sewing before and wanted to try a quilt. It was fun and we like how it turned out. We plan to do another one for ourselves.

I'm holding one of the amazing figures created by Nele Azevedo as part of the Minimum Monumnet art installation Custom House steps, Belfast - 20 Oct 2012 as I place it it begins to melt and part of the water dripping down the steps making this art installation purely transitory as it brings ot mind the victims of Titanic who died after the ship hit an ice berg !

Graduate Placement: Sandra Owens
The Coventry residency took place in the new Visitors
Centre at War Memorial Park. Gizella worked with a
range of park users including war veterans, young people
and families. Gizella is a textiles and mixed - media artist
and ran a lively range of workshops, offering skills in
monoprinting, collage, graffitti art and textiles. Sandra
Owens led sessions with clay and a fallen tree was
brought in to decorate with ceramic pieces.
Making Moves, Creating Futures for Craft
Making Moves is a West Midlands craft development initiative
involving four regional partnerships, led by Staffordshire County
Council and Craftspace, a Birmingham based craft development
organisation. The project consisted of nine craft residencies
which took place in community settings between September
2011 and July 2012, culminating in a touring exhibition.
The nine makers were challenged by residencies in unusual
workspaces - including a hospital, a pub and a park visitor
centre - which acted as sources of inspiration to develop ideas
for new work. They worked with local communities, offering
making workshops that were high quality, inspirational and in
some cases, life-changing. The exhibition showcases new work
by the makers in response to their residency setting, as well
examples of tools, materials and work created in the community
sessions.
The project also provided opportunities for nine crafts graduates
who supported the community making sessions as well as
receiving mentoring from the resident maker. They were given a
small bursary towards the development of their practice and
have also created new work for the exhibition.
Making Moves aimed to provide valuable opportunities for
learning. Makers gave masterclasses and lectures to Higher
and Further education institutions as well as talks to the wider
community. They wrote about the residency experiences on a
project blog, as well as coming together for regular networking
sessions.

The designed landscape was created in stages during the later 17th and 18th Centuries and was associated with both an earlier and the present house. Its principal creator in the first half of the 18th Century was Baron Clerk. It is of outstanding importance in the development of landscape gardens in Britain because it represents the transition from Baroque regularity to naturalistic landscape, with features from its programme of development well preserved, all within an outstanding natural wooded scenery. The eighteen structures and monuments within the landscape provide focal points for this picturesque aesthetic.
Two of the key architectural features created by the Baron at Penicuik - the Knights Law Tower and the Hurley Cave - are seminal examples of their type in Scotland, as well as being early examples in Britain as a whole.
Baron Clerk was the most advanced and articulate theorist on landscape gardening in Scotland during the first half of the 18th century. Although some of his ideas drew upon concepts of landscape design just beginning to be disseminated in England, many were highly original. His ideas on architecture and landscape gardening were articulated in his long poem, "The Country Seat", and were put into practice at Penicuik.
The Hurley Cave and Ponds were commenced in 1740 and completed in 1742. Hurley Cave is an artificial tunnel about 40m long, approached by a bridge over the river and entered through a rusticated arch. The tunnel rises up a slope of about 10 degrees and is cut through rock at its centre. Near the middle of the tunnel, hollowed out of rock, is a domed chamber which contains the inscription "Tenebrosa occultaque cave" ("Beware of Dark and Hidden Things". Sir John had visited London in 1727 and again in 1733, when he visited Chiswick. It has been suggested that his design may have been influenced by Alexander Pope's garden grotto. The visitor experience of Hurley Cave was described by Sir John in his own words:
"No one can get across to it but by the mouth of a frightful cave. To those who enter, therefore, first occurs the memory of the Cuman Sibyl, for the ruinous aperture, blocked up with stones and briars strikes the eye. Then comes upon the wayfarers a shudder, as they stand in doubt whether they are among the living or the dead. As indeed certain discords set off and give finish to musical cadencies in such a way as to render the subsequent harmony more grateful to the ear, so does the mouth of this mournful cave, with its long and shady path followed by the light and prospect make the exit more delightful. For suddenly the darkness disappears, and it is as it were at the creation of a new world".
A session on how virtual reality has opened the door to new mediums of creating and experiencing stories in the media and entertainment industry.

Did you enjoy this project? The 6th grade boys loved working on this project trying to get a likeness of their favorite player, and they all agreed on - Alex Morgan. I was very pleased when the guys in class were so very enthusiastic about a women's rights themed art project.
About: This group of 6th grade boys loves soccer and admires top female athletes, and watches women's soccer. What gives females the right to participate and have funds set aside and have the same opportunities boys and mane have? Title IX is an Education Amendment passed in 1972, but not implemented nor enforced till the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1988. It prohibits discrimination in federally funded education including athletic programs. Still, hundreds of lawsuits and complaints have been filed because women's school and college teams are still cut, not upgraded to proper varsity status, and women coaches do not receive equal pay. After college, women athletes still do not receive equal pay, despite bringing in more ticket sales to major events and in some cases and winning more titles.

Jeff Finley released a super cool collection of hand drawn occult symbols and other esoteric assets a little while back.
They asked me to explore ways to use the set of vectors, and to write about the result of the said exploration. So I did!
The result is a record sleeve for the fictional band Fiat Lux, which just worked on their Æterna record.

Geological Museum was established on May 16, 1928. This museum has been renovated with a grant from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). After renovation, reopened and Geological Museum was inaugurated by the Vice President, Megawati Sukarnoputri on August 23, 2000. As one of the historic monuments, museums are under government protection and the national heritage. In this museum, stored and managed geological materials are abundant, such as fossils, rocks, minerals. All of them were collected during fieldwork in Indonesia since 1850.
