Since the first of the rebuilt dc-to-ac SD75i’s began arriving on property last summer finding them leading trains stateside has been a relatively rare occurrence. Finding them leading in good light has proven next to impossible… The drought finally broke today on this crisp and clear March morning. In fact, while 8313 was leading this potash train down Steelton Hill, just a few miles away another SD75iACC was leading an empty limestone train down Proctor Hill. Though unlikely I’d sure like to see some of these units end up in the ore pool, for the time being however limestone service will have to suffice. The next challenge is to get behind the throttle of one of the 8300’s. I’ve had them in consist upon delivery but that’s about it. Reports from those who have run them seem to be largely positive however so that’s a good thing. Better than their GE counterparts, lots of teething issues with those units including a buddy of mine who managed a blown piston not long after delivery…
I accidentally took a photo while adjusting zoom. I think Bob Ross would call it a happy little accident.
Another rippled manipulation of my old Bob Ross painting. This is kind of basic but it's considerably better than my painting! :D
And by "cool" I mean the intensified blues thanks to some "auto-correction" done by the cheap drug store scan.
(Yes, occasionally I still shoot film.)

Taken at Raf Cosford Airshow, the only Raf Airshow in the UK, located on the Shropshire, West Midlands border. The reenactors really do give the place a feeling of the 1940s. Always a firm favourite with families, the Airshow link cosfordairshow.co.uk/ The base also has a great free Air Museum next door, with some class leading aircraft exhibits, good restaurant and play area for the children www.rafmuseum.org.uk/midlands/
This is a mono version of an image that already appears in colour way back in my photostream. Loch Coultre is in Glen Shieldaig, here on a very cold but bright February morning. The loch was partly frozen over especially round the edges hence the fuzzy bit at the bottom.

He really is as chilled as he appears and proper loyal too. Always there, always comes when you call him. Just like a feline Black Labrador.
No worries during this late dose of midsummer-like weather, we haven't put the kiddie pools away yet!
