my three children on summer holiday at grandads house in Kent, from the left April, Jack and Bethany, they have got the cool shades just like dad : )
Anna enjoys soaking her front feet in the water bucket, even if it means dirtying the herd's water supply. I had just noticed that the bucket was brimming with fresh, clean water, filled by the morning's volunteer. Anna does this more during the summer, to cool off, I assume, so it was strange to see her soaking her feet on a cloudy spring day.
Was a hot July weekend when we ventured over to Pot Branch Falls. The air was still, but as we got nearer the falls the temperature began to drop. The cool water was refreshing after hiking in the hot afternoon sun.
On an extremely hot day in Dawlish this duck decided it was time to flap wildly and use the water to cool down.

And they were cool! But I am in need of some blue! I don't remember such a long, prolonged, cold. Working on fuel tank sender and even in brilliant sunshine it needed hats, and the wind increased and became bitter again. All the folk preparing boats to race in two weeks time were complaining ....Lol! Never seen such a lack of enthusiasm. So not just me getting soft in my old age - this has been awful weather.
We paid a visit to Bamburgh today and had a walk along the beach. This dog was thoroughly enjoying itself, cooling off in the sea, on one of the hottest days of the year so far!
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
One of the few cool and crisp mornings we have had. Funny thing is this snow and ice was only present on this side of the river and for only a couple of hours.

C-GUUL, a Boeing 737-8 MAX 8, on approach to runway 06R at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario.
It was arriving as DAT505 (1263343 Alberta Inc., doing business as Lynx Air) from its home base at Calgary, Alberta.
Serial number 42846 first flew on November 21, 2019 as N5573L. It was to have been SE-RTN with Norwegian Air Sweden AOC AB of Marsta, Sweden, but was never delivered. It later became EI-GZM with SMBC Aviation Capital Limited of Dublin, Ireland, then was stored at Victorville, California.
It became C-GUUL on July 27, 2022 and was flown from Victorville to Calgary, Alberta.
Lynx Air was the latest Canadian ULCC in an increasingly competitive domestic market. It ceased operations at 2:01AM (Eastern Standard Time) on February 26, 2024.
I just returned from New Zealand and wanted to share one of the most special wildlife experiences I had there...It was watching the yellow-eyed penguins leaving from and returning to their nests on the grassy hillsides by the ocean. They spend the day fishing at sea and can be observed early morning and late afternoon before dusk. We were very quiet to not disturb them as they waddled over the rocks, being very adorable and sometimes striking funny poses as they preened. This particular species is possibly the rarest of all penguins - only about 4000 individuals are believed to exist.
Just a simple candid street style Snap captured a young man leaning against a post in London doing something on his cell phone and looking really cool.

Richborough Cooling Towers at night. The orange glow is from the lights of Pfizer on the other side.
At the time, i had just been to a photography club in Margate, and was out for a drive, when i saw there was a low fog. This fog was not to the ground so you could drive under and see perfectly clearly, but any one traveling on the top deck of a double decker bus, may be restricted for view. (to give you some idea how low the fog was. This is no exageration)
There is a small road with a railway crossing, and i am parked up on a dirt track leading to farmers fields, The fog started to lift a bit when i started taking some photos, and the results from my evening are all simular to this. I picked the best one out of the bunch to display.
The only unfortunate thing is, it is very hard to show the fog. Its strange, that if i stood on a bank beside the road, i could jump up and put my hand into the fog! it was a very cold evening there and after 9 photos of 15 to 40 second exposures, i was very cold and got back in the car to warm up.
