"In Control, Penrose/Bontrager design and play a game that explores the relationships between automated process, user and interface. The turn-based game takes place throughout the exhibition’s run as each artist develops his individual system in response to the sequential developments of the other.
City Center Gallery becomes a battleground; lines are drawn, and the work is incrementally embedded into the space. This adversarial collaboration drives the evolution of the total work.
Penrose/Bontrager are attracted to the stylized control panels that exist within the video-scape of film and television. Littered with flashing lights, switches, buttons and sliders, these control panels suggest a world of possibilities between the user and the automated process. Through engaging these materials, the work poses such questions as: What does a button do? How does it do it? And what is done to the one who pushes it?"

Master Sgt. Benjamin Kaufman, 243rd Air Traffic Control Squadron Radar Approach Control chief controller, was selected as the Air National Guard’s 2012 Air Traffic Control Manager of the Year.
This award is given to an air traffic control manager who has contributed to an outstanding degree through their services, ideas, developments or accomplishments in air traffic control. The 243rd Air Traffic Control Squadron operates from the Wyoming Air National Guard Base, co-located with the Cheyenne Regional Airport. The 243rd provides air traffic control for military and civilian aircraft using the airport.
This was in the basement to control the generators in case of an attack. There was a filter system that would intake air from outside and filter out the radiation and impurities every 2 days in case of an attack to allow for "fresh air" to be cirrculated.
This is an Electrical Control Box very similar to the ones in School Lane and Barkfield Lane Formby. It is thought they may have been involved with the timing of street lighting.
This box was made by A Handyside & Co Ltd Derby & London.

I had accidentally broken the head of the cruise control rod when reinstalling it. Not sure if there's a special way to do it as I broke both the original and a junkyard replacement by just trying to pop the head over the ball on the throttle arm. I came across the new one (thanks parts manual!) and installed in the same fashion and it went on like it was supposed to?
This is the only engine I've seen from this time that uses a rod instead of the bead chain.
To control thinking is not called as control of mind. It is difficult to control the mind when one is in ignorance. But by knowledge of Self-Realization, one can remain separate from mind.

Another from my trip to a riding stables applying HDR & Animals in a landscape single raw file given the wiffsmiff treatment
Ok was asked by a friend to take some photos of her daughter and her new horse - now one or two issues with this - i dislike horses ok a fear and i have a wide angle lens so a few challenges .How to give it the wiffsmiff treatment .Well im glad to say they are happy with the result - poor light and dull skies added to my pressure .Oh and another horse gave me a right kicking in the field literally walked past me and kicked my shins - thank god for my hunters .This is by no means perfect and i have never tried this before .
now im wondering why i did not use filters to assist with the sky the sun was right above me to my left :-(
My friends daughter has only had the horse 6 weeks - poor horse must have been put off with me led on the gravel as he jumped the fence :-)
Freaky sky :-)
Another from trying something different.
Lessons learnt filters next time .
