Mini World Rotterdam is a huge working model of the city Rotterdam and areas of The Netherlands. There are lot of train movements and operating road traffic on some parts. There are many strange or humorous items to be spotted.
In Mini World land 1 minute is the equivalent of 1 hour, so the dusk and night time happen quite often. As the sun goes down the sky is amber and the street and building lamps turn on.
With so much going on there needs to be somewhere it is all controlled from. A Control room with an array of displays allows the staff to monitor CCTV and computer controlled trains.
These ten levers are arranged into logical groups.
Imagine these levers were numbered 1 through 10, from left to right.
- Levers 1 and 10 are the reversing levers, with positions for Ahead, Off, and Astern.
- Levers 2 and 9 are the starter levers. These levers allow the operator to control the propulsion motors' starting current while they come up to speed.
- Levers 3, 4, 7, and 8: Each lever controls a main generator, which can be connected to the battery bus, to charge the batteries, or the motor bus, to run the motors.
- Lever 5 is the bus selector lever, which controls how the port and starboard motor busses are interconnected or tied to the battery bus. This control works in conjunction with:
- Lever 6, the battery selector. This allows the forward battery, aft battery, or both, to be connected to the battery bus, which can power the propulsion motors or be connected to the generators.
The title is the titel of Paul Jones' piece. Paul had written some code so that some small glowing toy Mathmoth-style balls were tracked by the Mac using a webcam. It was a fun performance, though Paul was slightly scuppered by the fact that it was designed to work in the dark, and Kettle's Yard (as you can see) is so not dark!

In many buildings in Israel, during Sabbath (Shabbat), some elevators will be under Shabbat Controle. These elevators will stop on every floor and open and close the doors automatically without having the passengers to push any button.
