La Comisión de Cuentas y Control de Ejecución Presupuestaria, presidida por el diputado Olimpio Rojas (PLRA-Caazapá), recibió a la viceministra de Salud Pública, María Teresa Barán, para conocer la situación de los médicos residentes egresados en Cuba o en otros países. La visita aclaró que las pasantías médicas solo durarán tres meses y ya no serán remuneradas.
"Recibimos denuncias de médicos residentes y egresados acerca del cambio de políticas en materia de residencias médicas, por lo que, de inmediato, convocamos a la Viceministra para conocer las explicaciones del tema", dijo el Titular del estamento.
Explicó que los médicos residentes cobraban un salario mínimo, de un millón de guaraníes, por las pasantías, y las mismas duraban seis meses. Con el cambio en la política de residencias, la duración de la pasantía se reduce a tres meses y ya no serán remuneradas, de acuerdo a las explicaciones recibidas.
"Anteriormente, el Ministerio pagaba una pequeña remuneración de un millón de guaraníes a los médicos residentes; hoy por hoy, esa política cambió y harán sus pasantías ad honorem", agregó el parlamentario Rojas.
Según refirió, los médicos denunciaron esta cuestión, por lo que se solicitó la postura institucional del Ministerio de Salud Pública y Bienestar Social.
