El Puebla de La Franja dejó a un lado los experimentos en su formación inicial, para regresar a la senda del triunfo, luego de vencer por marcador de 2-0 al Cruz Azul.
En partido válido por la jornada 15, del actual certamen, celebrado en el estadio Cuauhtémoc, Félix Borja al minuto 27 y Walter Jiménez al 45 fueron los encargados de conseguir las anotaciones del conjunto camotero.
Con este marcador, el cuadro franjiazul llegó a 17 puntos para ascender a la cuarta posición del grupo tres. En tanto, los celestes se quedaron con 24 unidades en la tercera posición del mismo sector.
Así ante un lleno, Cruz Azul presionó y desde el arranque metió a un Puebla nervioso en su propia área, generando varias llegadas, si que las pudiera reflejar en el marcador.
Fue hasta el minuto 17, cuando Puebla despertó, luego de que Félix Borja entrara al área por la izquierda, intentó disparar de zurda pero le pegó mal. Cinco minutos después, el ecuatoriano sacó disparo que atajó en el fondo Jesús Corona.
Cruz Azul respondió al minuto 26, luego de que Emanuel Villa sacó disparo a la media vuelta que pasó apenas por arriba de la cabaña defendida por Alexandro Álvarez.
Al minuto 27, Gabriel Pereyra sirvió a Borja afuera del área, el ecuatoriano controló y se acomodó para sacar disparo que venció a Corona, para poner el 1-0 ante la algarabía de los presentes.
Tras el gol, Puebla se vio mejor y prueba de ello fue que al minuto 29, “El Canguro” Borja, sacó disparo tras un pelotazo largo y Corona rechazó en el fondo. Cuatro minutos después, Joel González prendió de volea a servicio pasado de Gerardo Lugo, el balón se fue por un costado.
Al minuto 45, hubo un tiro de esquina por la izquierda, el balón fue por abajo a las afueras del área, donde Walter Jiménez lo prendió y lo anidó en el ángulo, para poner el 2-0.
Para la parte complementaria, el partido se volvió trabado y al minuto 52, Julio Domínguez remató con la cabeza en un tiro de esquina, el balón de un bote a las manos del arquero. Dos minutos después, Borja sacó disparo débil que tomó el portero cementero.
Todavía al minuto 63, Alexandro Álvarez salvó a Puebla con doble intervención. Luego Gerardo Lugo sacó disparo que pasó apenas a un costado.
