Visit with Runyon to his favorite place on earth - Swift Run Dog Park (near the intersection of Platt and Ellsworth and across the street from Lillie Park). From the City site: "The joint city-county Swift Run Dog Park is located at the northeast corner of the Swift Run landfill. It is bounded on the north by Ellsworth Road and on the east by Platt Road. The 10-acre Swift Run Dog Park is maintained in partnership with Washtenaw County with financial contributions from both the city and county." What a wonderful visit with Runyon and I today. He loves playing with the other dogs and it is great to see him run wide open. Pictures from Monday November 9th at lunchtime and Tuesday November 10th with his morning crew. He really does like going to the Dog Park with his peeps!
My contribution to the London Photo 24 Event held between 20-21 June 2015. On the longest day and the shortest night, 200+ photographers set out to document London. It was my second day in London, ever. And it was a lot of fun.

CONTRIBUTIONS OF AMAZONIAN INDIANS
During thousands of years of cultural development, the Indians of Amazonia made a number of inventions and discoveries later adopted worldwide. Foremost among them were several cultivated plants. Manioc, first domesticated in Amazonia, became a staple crop in much of tropical Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Tapioca, the fine flour derived from manioc, is now well known the world over. Other food plants probably first domesticated in Amazonia include sweet potatoes, capsicum peppers, peanuts, papayas and pineapples.
Tobacco and its principal forms of use- cigarettes, cigars, pipes and snuff-also originated in Amazonia. Other plants whose medicinal or narcotic effects were first discovered by Amazonian Indians include coca and curare, the well-known blowgun poison. Because of its muscle-relaxing properties, curarine, the active agent in curare, is today widely used in surgery to prevent muscle spasms.
The comfortable and convenient hammock, all but universal in Amazonia, was soon copied by the outside world; even the British Navy adopted it. The barbecue, first seen by Europeans in the West Indies, has become a popular backyard fixture. Rubber, first used in Amazonia, provided the raw material for such Amazonian inventions as the rubber ball and the enema syringe. Silk cotton (kapok), which the Indians used to wrap the butt ends of blowgun darts, was used by Europeans to fill life preservers because of its light weight and water resistance.
My second contribution for the 'opal face' hint in the Grand Central Photo Safari of B&H, a little more patriotic. The other one may be found here.
If you are in New York and someone asks you to 'meet under the clock' you will want to go to this place.
The Grand Central Terminal Clock has been featured in many Hollywood movies.
It has four convex faces with each face made purely of the highest quality precious opal. It is worth between 10 and 20 million dollars.
Technically, I used 7 photos and merged them into a HDR. Of course, due to the high ISO (a result of the "no tripod rule"), it had a lot of CA, even after post processing, so I decided to convert it to a monochromatic photo and place an emphasis on the green channel to create a stronger contrast and highlight the lines and structures.
