"Live Tomorrow"
It's cold around me, the night is young
The sun has fallen
And I've become the lonely one
The moon is dancing among the clouds
And my knees are shaking
And my dreams are braking
But I know I live
But I know I live, today
I know we could live tomorrow
(live tomorrow)
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could...
Taking my life in my hands!
(the power who has it?)
Taking my life in my hands!
(the power who has it?)
I don't like to wait! No, no...
It's happening, It's happening...
I don't like to wait! No, no...
It's happening...
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today

Relay For Life of Second Life Attention Magazine's June 22 Issue
I know may of you have in some way or the other felt Cancer close up, either had Cancer your self or know of somebody who is or has been fighting the battle of cancer. Even though some dont make it trough the battle, we must always remain hopeful that there is hope. That is why we have to keep up the work in finding ways to fight this disease, by awareness and research that can help fight the disease.
I am crying as I write this, because I am thinking of those I have lost in my RL as well as in SL. But I know that those I have lost would want me to stay positive and hopeful, and to love and live my life to the fullest each day, because we never know what tomorrow brings. I also want to dedicate this picture in memory of our dearest Beautiful Angel Amber who lost the fight against Cancer, she was the most positive, loving, caring and most uplifting person I have ever met in the virtual world of Second life, She will always be missed and never be forgotten, she will always be in our hearts, as well as to my dear Uncle who also passed away too soon, due to Cancer.
"Better Days"
There's a light at the end of the tunnel
Keep your eyes on the road ahead
But if you're feeling lost in the night
It's okay to cry
Just as long as you hold your head
'Cause we're on our way to better
Better's ahead, better's ahead
It get's worse 'fore it gets better
But better's ahead, better's ahead
Better days are comin' (Better and better and better, ooh-ooh)
Better days are comin' (Ooh-ooh, better days)
Better days, better days (Better and better and better, oh-ooh)
Better days are comin' (Better days, better days)
I know you've been kicked down
Slept on, let down, faith gone
Waited for too long for something to lean on (Lean on)
You feel weak, just be strong (Ooh)
Deep breath, stay calm
If you just press on, press on, press on
You gon' see there's a light at the end of the tunnel (At the end of the tunnel)
Keep your eyes on the road ahead (On the road ahead)
And if you're feelin' lost in the night (Lost in the night)
It's okay to cry (It's okay to cry)
Just as long as you hold your head
'Cause we're on our way to better (Aah)
Better's ahead, (Better) better's ahead (Aah)
It get's worse 'fore it gets better (Ah-ah-ah)
But better's ahead, better's ahead
Better days are comin' (Better and better and better, ooh-ooh, I know, I know)
Better days are comin' (Ooh-ooh)
(Better days, better days) (Better and better and better, ooh-ooh)
Better days are comin' (Ooh-ooh)
(Better days, better days)
I know you feel left out and stepped on
Keep goin', keep goin'
Shine bright, don't dim yours for no one
Keep goin' higher, and higher and higher and higher
(Because there's better)
Better days, better days are comin' (Better days)
Better days, better days (On their way) are comin' ('Cause I know)
Better days, better days (Better days) are comin' (Yeah)
Better days, (Oh) better days are comin' (I know)
Better days are comin'

This is my contribution to the Smile on Saturday group theme "Shades of Gold". I tried several setups and liked this one best as it looks quite festive. And more golden tones almost aren't possible, I think. :) HSoS !
My contribution for this weeks #sundayslider. Early morning view of Lake Leelanau in Michigan with the most wonderful reeds poking through the misty waters. #hss #sundaysliders
Thank you Maria Xenou Photodromos for reminding me with your beautiful picture and song that tomorrrow is Mother's day, in Greece.
You brought memories and a tear to an old man's eyes.
This is my contribution, dedicated to all the mothers of the world.
Please, listen to the song, sang by two Angelic voices, Susan Boyle and Jackie Evancho.
It's called "A mother's prayer"
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed it.
Gardens of Great Britain
This is a series of photographs taken in the many gardens we have visited over a long period time. It never ceases to amaze how many gardens there are and the variety they show, long may it continue.
Today’s contribution comes from Great Dixter, a garden we have visited quite a few times and never ceases to amaze. The planting is always brilliant.
My contribution to Photo Sunday's theme circle. A slice of strawberry pressed on a window.
Mitt bidrag till Fotosöndags tema cirkel. En jordgubbsskiva fasttryckt på ett fönster.
My humble contribution for the "The Journey" Exhibition currently in the Galerie des Beaux-Arts
You have to visit and contemplate the art pieces made by a group of very talented Photographers/Artists.
We all live in a world, where life is treated as a race and not as a journey.
LIFE IS NOT A RACE
Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.
Life is a journey to be savoured each step of the way
This is one of my favourite hybrid tea roses from the Roxborough Park Rose Gardens at Baulkham Hills in north-western Sydney. I photographed this rose with my Canon 60D and a Canon 100mm macro lens, and I have now re-edited it more than three times!! I keep applying different filters, effects and frames.
But anyway, this is my contribution to Thursday, 16th July, 2020.
Note: The map keeps saying 'Castle Hill' but in fact it is in Baulkham Hills, Sydney.
My contribution to Colorful Nature with the theme red Monday.
Red is sweet is a sentence from a Swedish children's rhyme about colors. red is sweet, green is nice etc
My contribution to Photo Sunday with the theme of prints.
I think the tree's image against the sky fits the theme.
Mitt bidrag till Fotosöndag med temat avtryck.
Trädets avbildning mot himlen tycker jag passar till temat.

macro mondays contribution.
One of quite a few taken for this week's theme so still trying to decide, it will be one of those occasions I decide on the bus in to work!
Done!!
I keep reliving MM challenges, this week sweet spot and inspired by a song!
The Butterfly Sculpture at Doddington Hall, near Lincoln. Visitors to the Elizabethan Hall are encouraged to make a butterfly and add it to others on a wire framework. The frame was covered in random paper and fabric butterflies by the end of the year.

This is my contribution to Macro Monday Group. The theme is: “Redux 2019”. I chose to redo the “chain” theme. This time I took another chain and also, I used my new extension tubes (which I absolutely love by the way!! Best Christmas gift ever !!!). And voilà! I hope you like it as much as I do!
Happy MM !! HMM !!
And thank you so much for your comments /favs and support! I’m humbled and grateful!!! I wish you all an amazing day and see you on Flickr!!
Contribution to MM challenge for 4/3/18, theme "Jewelry".
Slightly tricky challenge due to the number of times I've used jewellery in the past, not least as my Flickr avatar, but not helped by the fact my partner and I are living 200 miles apart at the moment so I can't raid her jewellery!! And I've already used my mother's wedding ring
This is all mine though and is one of those things that is never taken off. The star I bought on a school trip to France in the early 80s and the necklace it's attached to my sister bought me for my 18th. It's a while now to be wearing the same 2 chunks of metal around my neck!!
Our contribution to this weeks Macro Mondays: Member's Choice - Musical Instruments. Enjoy it and HMM to everybody.
Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend.
Have a nice Holiday.
I associate Goldenrod with the brilliant colour it has to attract pollinators, and with the year round contribution it makes to living creatures in the ecosystem. I used to think it was a source of seasonal allergies, but in fact its pollen is not wind borne - only bees, butterflies and birds can move it around.
I liked the clean look I got at the Honey Bee’s ‘mouth parts’, and the front legs that have dedicated bristles for cleaning the proboscis. The prominent mandibles, used for chewing and eating things, are displaced by the mandible but visible at its base, on either side of the proboscis. The front of the face is a bit dusty, but the compound eyes are unobstructed.
After what feels like days and days of overcast skies, I thought some bright summery colours and activity might be a tonic.

possible/probable contribution to MM challenge for 10/8/20, theme: "Water"
Didn't have as much time as I would have liked for this one so not my original idea but still one of the highest deletion rates I've had for a MM challenge for a few years!
Didn't set out to do a monochrome shot but as the final image was so close anyway I just gave it a gentle nudge over the line.
Focusing was a huge PITA for this as the focal point kept moving and I was using a wider aperture than normal and a much higher ISO to get a half decent shutter speed. Sure I'm not the only person that faced these issues!
contribution to MM challenge for 13/7/20, theme: Spiral
Quite possibly not technically spirals - but they might be!
contribution to Macro Mondays group for 23 Jan 2017 - "It's A-Peeling To Me"
Partially inspired by the cover art for the debut album by Velvet Underground & Nico.

Contribution to MM challenge for 11/2/18, theme Holes
My first though when I read the challenge was of picture I took some time ago, I think for a different challenge. I laughed when I saw said picture included in the gallery of examples!
I went through a hole host of ideas for this challenge but was pushed for time so settled for the kitchen table with food. A hole lot easier than what I had planned for the bath
OK, here's my contribution to the recent stream of fuzzy fledgling Owl postings.
I first encountered nesting Great Horned Owls in this open space eight or ten years ago and it's been a constant producer of adult and fledglings. A few weeks ago I finally found the elusive nest. I tried to get images of the chicks in the nest, but only got a few low quality images in fading light. I returned the other day and found the nest empty. After searching for half an hour I heard a fledgling call out and was able to locate this one...again the light was failing but I was able to get a few shots before dark.

Contributions to Islamic art found in the Sheikh Zayed Mosque include the art of using colors to create original artistic forms. The colors of the walls, columns and the carpet are harmonized together transforming the entire Mosque into an artistic masterpiece and a symphony of colors and shades.
contribution for MM challenge for 29/7/19, theme: "Made of Wood"
Such a broad theme - the sort I find difficult but this was going to be the olive board which I've used for quite a few other snaps before. But to get the full benefit of the grain patterns would take more than 3 inches. So trying to keep it simple I went with the most familiar and common thing made of wood and set them against the aforementioned olive wood board. Double wammy!!
The Kunekune pigs are very communicative and I always enjoy a chat with the, although their contribution to the conversation usually revolves around food. They have apple trees on their pasture and occasionally an apple drops from the tree and will immediately be devoured. If the apples refuse to fall the pigs try to convince the visitors to pick one for them.
Contribution to MM challenge for 24/8/20, theme "Glass"
Well it's not an original idea but once I'd taken it I kind of fell in love with the imperfections in the glass even though my original plan was to eliminate them! They were lost for some time and I'm still not sure I've recovered them...
Just in case you're wondering it's shot in a puddle of water on a tin foil "bowl" in direct sunlight!
MM contribution for 25/3/18, theme: "Hot or Cold"
Again I'm not a massive fan of themes with such a large scope as I find them difficult to narrow down. In fact talking to my partner about what I was doing she came with with about another 20 suggestions!!
What this did give me though was the opportunity to try out quite a few things. I fell foul of living at both ends of the country again because my zippo isn't 'here'!
So to catch a match just as it catches. Easy (really???). And I didn't even get through a whole box! Apparently they burn at around 800c - I think that qualifies as hot?!. And have a light temp of around 1500K which leads on to...
...strobist bit: 1 SB900 set to manual at 1/20, positioned to the left and firing toward the background. Using dark amber gel with WB set to tungston.
