"Live Tomorrow"
It's cold around me, the night is young
The sun has fallen
And I've become the lonely one
The moon is dancing among the clouds
And my knees are shaking
And my dreams are braking
But I know I live
But I know I live, today
I know we could live tomorrow
(live tomorrow)
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could...
Taking my life in my hands!
(the power who has it?)
Taking my life in my hands!
(the power who has it?)
I don't like to wait! No, no...
It's happening, It's happening...
I don't like to wait! No, no...
It's happening...
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could live tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait! No
I know we could live tomorrow
(live tomorrow)
But I know I live today
(I live today)
I know we could live tomorrow
(live tomorrow)
But I don't think we should wait! No
(I live today)
I know we could live tomorrow

On this sad day for France, I am speechless...
(Why the Malachite - the colours of the French flag all present.)
I have created a group "Je suis Paris" for the purpose of sympatizing with the people of France. Please post your contributions to that group.
(For what its worth, this image was captured in the wild in the Kruger National Park.)

I am sharing these pictures with you all because I think it is so important to spread awareness around cancer. It can affect anyone, and most of us will in some way in our lives be affected or touched by it, either we ourselves could become a victim of it, someone we know, or someone dear and close to us. But also because there is hope in the darkest of times.

"Bright Lights"
HAEVN
Your words are high and running through a tired mind
A howling wind surrounds you
I'm trying to illuminate a clouded heart
I'm gonna find the strength to stay
Feel we're gonna break out
At the last step now
Feel we're gonna break out
I really wanna see your face, and I see
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
Your hands are high and floating through a darkened sky
So many eyes around you
The distant sounds as neon sparks light up my heart
I'm gonna find a brighter day
Feel we're gonna break out
I really wanna see your face, and I see
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
You shut your heart and shut my door
You shut your heart
When I say hold me, when I say hold me, when I see
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me
Bright, bright lights, bright lights to guide me home
Bright lights to guide me
Bright lights to guide me
Bright lights to guide me
Bright lights to guide me home

Gardens of Great Britain
This is a series of photographs taken in the many gardens we have visited over a long period time. It never ceases to amaze how many gardens there are and the variety they show, long may it continue.
Today’s contribution comes from Great Dixter, a garden we have visited quite a few times and never ceases to amaze. The planting is always brilliant.
My contribution for this weeks #sundayslider. Early morning view of Lake Leelanau in Michigan with the most wonderful reeds poking through the misty waters. #hss #sundaysliders
My humble contribution for the "The Journey" Exhibition currently in the Galerie des Beaux-Arts
You have to visit and contemplate the art pieces made by a group of very talented Photographers/Artists.
We all live in a world, where life is treated as a race and not as a journey.
LIFE IS NOT A RACE
Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.
Life is a journey to be savoured each step of the way
This is Tofu's contribution to the Happy Caturday theme "Funny Faces". The photo was a lucky coincidence when I took a series of photos of him eating grass in the garden. :)
Happy Caturday !
My contribution to Photo Sunday with the theme of prints.
I think the tree's image against the sky fits the theme.

A lovely chilly day with sunshine, frost on the ground and nice air to breathe.
My contribution to Photo Sunday with the theme heart matter. When I inhale the fragrance of the flowers, my heart and mind lift to greater heights.

macro mondays contribution.
One of quite a few taken for this week's theme so still trying to decide, it will be one of those occasions I decide on the bus in to work!
Done!!
I keep reliving MM challenges, this week sweet spot and inspired by a song!
My contribution to Colorful Nature with the theme orange or yellow Thursday

The triangular thing in the middle is the pistil and the stamens are the small pin-like heads.
Contribution to MM challenge for 4/3/18, theme "Jewelry".
Slightly tricky challenge due to the number of times I've used jewellery in the past, not least as my Flickr avatar, but not helped by the fact my partner and I are living 200 miles apart at the moment so I can't raid her jewellery!! And I've already used my mother's wedding ring
This is all mine though and is one of those things that is never taken off. The star I bought on a school trip to France in the early 80s and the necklace it's attached to my sister bought me for my 18th. It's a while now to be wearing the same 2 chunks of metal around my neck!!
This is my contribution to Macro Monday Group. The theme is: “Redux 2019”. I chose to redo the “chain” theme. This time I took another chain and also, I used my new extension tubes (which I absolutely love by the way!! Best Christmas gift ever !!!). And voilà! I hope you like it as much as I do!
Happy MM !! HMM !!
And thank you so much for your comments /favs and support! I’m humbled and grateful!!! I wish you all an amazing day and see you on Flickr!!
This is my contribution to Color my World Daily Group. Today, the color is.... green! And also, today, I'm getting back on the wagon of eating healthy! Is that a New Year’s resolution? Absolutely not! I'm just back on track and I have exactly 5 days to make my pants fit like before Christmas time (I’m going back to work)!!!! Wish me luck!!!

It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend.
Have a nice Holiday.
contribution to MM challenge for 13/7/20, theme: Spiral
Quite possibly not technically spirals - but they might be!
contribution to Macro Mondays group for 23 Jan 2017 - "It's A-Peeling To Me"
Partially inspired by the cover art for the debut album by Velvet Underground & Nico.
Contribution to MM challenge for 11/2/18, theme Holes
My first though when I read the challenge was of picture I took some time ago, I think for a different challenge. I laughed when I saw said picture included in the gallery of examples!
I went through a hole host of ideas for this challenge but was pushed for time so settled for the kitchen table with food. A hole lot easier than what I had planned for the bath
contribution to MM challenge for 3/2/20 - theme: "The Odd One"
The subject matter doesn't (or shouldn't!) need any explanation other than these are some of my partner's hobby tools.
The title is a direct take from the 70s sitcom featuring one of the best characters of all time - Arnold. That said I have no idea if it has stood the test of time, but he certainly was an odd one!
The iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, as seen from Alcatraz.
"The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the U.S. city of San Francisco, California—the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula—to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. It also carries pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and is designated as part of U.S. Bicycle Route 95. Recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers as one of the Wonders of the Modern World, the bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco and California.
The idea of a fixed link between San Francisco and Marin had gained increasing popularity during the late 19th century, but it was not until the early 20th century that such a link became feasible. Joseph Strauss served as chief engineer for the project, with Leon Moisseiff, Irving Morrow and Charles Ellis making significant contributions to its design. The bridge opened to the public in 1937 and has undergone various retrofits and other improvement projects in the decades since.
The Golden Gate Bridge is described in Frommer's travel guide as "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world." At the time of its opening in 1937, it was both the longest and the tallest suspension bridge in the world, titles it held until 1964 and 1998 respectively. Its main span is 1,280m and total height is 227m."
Wishing all my WTBW friends Congratulations for our Third Anniversary! Thanks to you all for your wonderful artistic contributions for a better world over the past 3 years. Hopefully, in a small way we make a difference.
Let's all reach out beyond the divide and come together in kindness, tolerance, understanding, love, help, respect, positive thinking and actions, compassion and embrace our differences, my friends!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Contributions to Islamic art found in the Sheikh Zayed Mosque include the art of using colors to create original artistic forms. The colors of the walls, columns and the carpet are harmonized together transforming the entire Mosque into an artistic masterpiece and a symphony of colors and shades.
OK, here's my contribution to the recent stream of fuzzy fledgling Owl postings.
I first encountered nesting Great Horned Owls in this open space eight or ten years ago and it's been a constant producer of adult and fledglings. A few weeks ago I finally found the elusive nest. I tried to get images of the chicks in the nest, but only got a few low quality images in fading light. I returned the other day and found the nest empty. After searching for half an hour I heard a fledgling call out and was able to locate this one...again the light was failing but I was able to get a few shots before dark.

Contribution to MM challenge for 24/8/20, theme "Glass"
Well it's not an original idea but once I'd taken it I kind of fell in love with the imperfections in the glass even though my original plan was to eliminate them! They were lost for some time and I'm still not sure I've recovered them...
Just in case you're wondering it's shot in a puddle of water on a tin foil "bowl" in direct sunlight!
contribution to Macro Mondays group for 26/06/17 the theme being "Broken"
I'm away for a few days so may not see many contributions so HMM to one and all!!
I found this challenge hard, not because I couldn't think what to do but because the choice was too big and I think I've ended up being a bit cliche.
My contribution to Photo Sunday with the theme "the first". The first pieces are laid in this world's smallest puzzle. I need tweezers to lay the pieces. The first real challenge this year, in patience and dexterity.
Mitt bidrag till Fotosöndag med temat "den första". De första bitarna är lagda i detta världens minsta pussel. Jag behöver en pincett för att lägga bitarna. Den första verkliga utmaning i år, i tålamod och fingerfärdighet.
