The Destas continues , freeing up space often I think we just carry so much stuff around with us and then BOOM its time to get rid of stuff that is not as important as it was before. Collection for sale in my vintage shop on etsy.com www.etsy.com/listing/95400151

My Thai Classic Favourites class continues to amaze me. Year after year, it has been our most popular class and this year seems to be no exception. In fact, we have added six overflow classes to our menu list and the class still fills up regularly. Last Saturday, March 31, was no exception as I welcomed a group of students enthusiastic to learn the delights of Thai Spring Rolls, Thai Coconut Soup, Phat Thai Noodles, Vegetable Stir Fry and Red Curry Chicken.

Apparently tonight's photo continues my African safari theme from yesterday. I had no idea what my photo of the day was going to be, so I look the long way home from work, hoping to find some cool murals or something that would inspire me. I was unsuccessful with finding anything that caught my attention and getting close to home when my mom called me -- these fawns have been out in the fields near my parents' house all spring, originally with a mom deer. Today they decided to spend a few hours around their front yard. Mom told me to hurry over and just creep up the driveway in my car -- and these two little guys just starred at me. The closer I got, the more suspicious they became -- the one in the front of the photo actually took a few steps toward me, clumped his front hooves into the grass, and snorted a few times (trying to show dominance?) before they both stood up and of walked closer to field away from me. At that point I backed up and left them alone as I'd gotten the photo I needed for my picture of the day.

Lately, these images just present themselves to me. The less I force it, the more something beautiful seems to happen. For my parents, watching these animals for the past few months and now seeing them up close in their was quite the exciting payoff -- almost how I've been feeling watching my flowers and plants grow, change, and bloom all summer long. Nature is pretty cool, aye? (201/365)

An essential part of early years education!

Continuing our pattern from the seats at the arena, Patty and I took almost identical pictures of this.

Continuing our Second Day on the Parkway - leaving the Linn Cove Viaduct area and headed home via Mt. Mitchell, Mt. Pisgah, Asheville and off the Parkwa at Sylva NC.

This series of photos brings us through several more tunnels and past several beautiful overlooks complete with all kinds of wildflowers, butterflies and other flora. The Joe Pye Weed was blooming EVERYWHERE and the butterflies LOVE it!!

We had planned to eat at the restaurant at Mt. Pisgah, but a snack at Crabtree Meadows left all three of us "not-so-hungry" when we got there, so we continued on to Sylva. We had thought we might eat at Shoney's in Franklin, but decided to see if we could find a restaurant that Southern Living rates very highly - - - Lulu's on Main - - - so we started looking around in Dillsboro and then Sylva.

All I can say about Lulu's on Main is "WHAT a FIND that is!!!" We loved it!!!

What a breathtaking sunset it was over the Pacific/Monterey Bay tonight! I miss seeing sunsets by the sea! Pic taken right by Phil’s Fish Market & Eatery. This was during me & my family's (birthday) outing here around Moss Landing, CA. It was my official birthday the very next day so I wanted to go out with the family...

Our outing in summary:

Our original plan was to head to Monterey but since we left a bit late, we just went to Moss Landing, particularly to the famous Phil’s Fish Market & Eatery. I also wanted to see the ocean sunset so it was a perfect location: dinner with an ocean view at sunset! We wouldn't of made it for the sunset if we drove all the way to Pacific Grove (originally planned). Upon arrival, there were lots of people at the restaurant. Me & my parents went to the beach to view the ocean views & sunset while my sis & manong Richie ordered food and reserved our table. After I took in the epic sunset by the sea solo, I rejoined the rest of the gang for dinner back at the restaurant table area. It's neat that the restaurant was literally at the beach! I got the fish and chips meal which was crazy delicious & crispy on the outside. We continued to enjoy our dinner and fellowship as early evening fell over the area, with a beautiful, colorful display towards the west. The ocean horizon was crisp clear against the twilight sky. As soon as it became a bit chilly, we called it a night (after looking around inside the fish market a bit). Overall, this was a short but awesome birthday outing with the family! 'Til next time, safe travels.
