Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Cedar Bluff-based 1033rd Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group continue a water main pipeline damage assessment mission Oct. 7, 2024, in Damascus, Virginia. The Soldiers used GPS and tablets to document damage or exposed sections of a 12-inch water main pipeline that runs from the Town of Damascus to Taylors Valley in Washington County. Continuing my heck of a walk! Up until now I had been pretty happy with some the shots I'd taken of the Dunnock and young Chiffchaff but what came next was an experience of a lifetime, especially given that this is my regular walk. I hadn't seen the like here before, nor do I ever expect to again but, never say never. There was a gathering of Ravens in a small treelike not far up the hillside and that drew my attention initially, then this .........
