(İ always lean so much from your constructive comments)

Nature is resilient, isn't it? This fern had found a way through this old wall at the Fort Lytton National Park in Brisbane, and was flourishing.

This is Elleke. I met her on a Saturday afternoon when I visited the city of Nijmegen. I noticed her when she parked her bicycle. I saw a dark green background nearby and I thought it would work very well. When I stopped her she told me she just came from the hairdresser. We had a nice little chat. Elleke told me She lives in Nijmegen and works in healthcare as a nurse.

Thanks for your time Elleke, I hope you like your portrait.

Any advice or constructive criticism is appreciated.

This Coopers Hawk was feeding on a fallen tree that crossed the Seine River. I was able to take this picture from my kayak as I drifted downstream towards the hawk. He stayed in place on the log until I passed directly under him, at which time he flew off to a higher perch.

Among the bird world’s most skillful fliers, Cooper’s Hawks are common woodland hawks that tear through cluttered tree canopies in high speed pursuit of other birds. You’re most likely to see one prowling above a forest edge or field using just a few stiff wingbeats followed by a glide. (Cornell).

These minuscule blooms came from the packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds I planted last year in memory of my best friend and brother-in-law Tony. The flowers are very tiny at maybe 1/4 inches (6-7 mm) in size when fully opened. If I had placed a US penny into the planter it would have covered ALL of the flowers shown here!

The plant is in a small pot and kept watered outdoors in dappled sun. There is something special about seeing blue flowers in the springtime, and I know Tony really would have liked these! Happy memories my friend...

Image was shot handheld in the shade on the rear of my home. In order to capture the bright blue I needed to boost the ISO up to ISO 640. I also increased the aperture slightly to get a bit more depth of field (DOF) while maintaining my shutter speed in order to freeze the flowers in the slight breeze of the late afternoon.

Comments and constructive feedback are always appreciated!

A great blue heron was constructing a nest this morning at Loxahatchee NWR in Boynton Beach, FL. This was not the largest piece of nesting material that he brought, but the wingspan here was appealing to me.

(From All About bird) - Although some start breeding at two years of age, Sandhill Cranes may reach the age of seven before breeding. They mate for life—which can mean two decades or more—and stay with their mates year-round. Juveniles stick close by their parents for 9 or 10 months after hatching.
