Street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.

A previously unpublished shot from September 2015. One that remained in the archives as I since found myself being really averse to photographing people using mobile phones for calls. A personal take as you never know if it's an important call with bad news or something. Anyhow, I do remember that she was flattered when I took this and broke out into a smile. Enjoy!

I love shooting photos with this chica. She always makes the photograph more beautiful.

A scene of everyday life. A bus stop, all distant, all connected virtually. The distance gets longer

Schloss Favorite is a Baroque maison de plaisance and hunting lodge in Ludwigsburg, Germany and was used as a summer residence and hunting lodge. It is located on a rise, directly north of Ludwigsburg Palace and connected via an avenue to it.

Schloss Favorite was built from 1717 to 1723 for the sovereign Duke of Württemberg, Eberhard Ludwig, to a design by Donato Giuseppe Frisoni. The model was the Gartenpalais in Vienna.[1] The original plan provided for combining the functions of a hunting castle, surrounded by a vast park and hunting grounds, and a country villa with a beautiful view. In 1748, it served as a backdrop for a grandiose firework display arranged on the occasion of the wedding of Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg and Princess Margravine Elisabeth Fredericka Sophie of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.

From 1806, King Frederick I of Württemberg converted the park into a ménagerie, containing wild boar, deer and chamois, and the house was used as a hunting lodge. At much the same time, the architect Nikolaus Friedrich von Thouret renovated the building's interior in the neoclassical style.

With the fall of the monarchy in the 20th century, the house was little used, neglected and fell into disrepair. It was restored from 1980 onward, and it opened to the public in 1983. The park has been transformed into a landscape garden, which has since served as an animal park. Today, the originally furnished castle rooms give an insight into courtly life

I've wanted to try some different locations along this road for a while. Taken in a series of photos, merged together to increase the amount of traffic.

This is the USB-C cable from my rugged LaCie hard drive. I was going to shoot the rubberised drive itself, but it didn’t quiet have the ‘minimal’ vibe I was after. I got a weird light flare effect from the metal bit that I kind of liked so decided to play on this for the shot.

These are cables found in the depths of the drawers of my husband. More photos and description in the photostream...

It is not just an electrical connection. For me also means emotional connection... It's the relationship with my beloved husband, it's the awareness that I can always count on him. He helps and motivates me for action. Whenever I look at photos from my album, especially the technical ones, I feel the gratitude for his suport :)

Thank You all for faves and comments :)

"Lighthouses are endlessly suggestive signifiers of both human isolation and our ultimate connectedness to each other."

Daytime portrait of the historic Split Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior's North Shore about 40 miles northeast of Two Harbors, Minnesota.

Funds for the light station were appropriated by Congress in 1907 at the bidding of U.S. Steel Corp. and other iron ore interests after a November 1905 storm on Lake Superior damaged 29 ships (a third of which were uninsured and owned by U.S. Steel).

The station was opened in 1910 and was decommissioned in 1969 during the era when technology was making lighthouses obsolete. The State of Minnesota has had the site since 1971, and in 1976 it turned operations of the light station over to the Minnesota Historical Society. It was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2011.

This is the lower part of "connected" - so no risk to be "taped", Dan. ;-)

An MV-22B assigned to MAWTS-1 sporting the 'hump' fairing for the Network On The Move - Airborne (NOTM-A) system, which provides wireless connectivity between aircraft for digital interoperability.
