PART 2: THE GUIDES

A good trip depends on many things and one of these things is the guide. We had a wonderful guide (Haval Qahraman) who connected us with a great local guide who everyone calls ABU HAIDER but his real name is Razaq. He is the perfect person to take a boat tour with into the Marshes and inside the reed homes. He navigates this area like his ancestors did. He also sang a few local songs to us during the boat ride. It was a great trip.

(Pics from the reed houses coming soon in Part 3). This post is only dedicated to the guides 😜

Stay Connected 3 (community series): Telephone poles can be symbolic.

This pole has a purpose. It holds up all of these lines so that the surrounding community has the ability to use power, access information and communicate to people all around the world. Would this pole be able to do that if if cut down all of it's wires?

I thought the variety of browns would look pretty framed in the shininess of the glass. The black level was upped to enrich the colors of the nuts.

They're all different types of nuts, but still nuts. I think that is connection of some kind...
