The June full moon is sometimes called the Strawberry moon, according to the Farmer's Almanac, which says the nickname is connected to strawberries ripening in certain parts of North America. It's not a reference to the colour of the moon. However, you may still get lucky with the moon's hue. Towards the end of June, the moon usually sits in a lower position in the sky and shines through more of our atmosphere. Because of this, our moon can sometimes give off a pinkish hue. 63954

For this picture I used an old, more or less acquired lens. It is a „Auto Beriflex 135 mm 1:2.8“ with M42 connector. "Beriflex" was a brand name of the Berlin company Beroflex AG. A system camera can be connected with a suitable adapter.

The Oregon Dunes are like no other dunes in the world. Desert-like landscapes, lakes, rivers, ocean and forest blend, creating diverse ecosystems of plants and animals. Managed by the USDA Forest Service, this is the only part of the Oregon coast covered by extensive sand dunes. The sand dunes were formed by wind, water and time.

Oregon's city of Florence is connected to a 40-mile (64.37 km) stretch of sand dunes known as the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, North America's largest coastal dunes.

We had so much FUN riding this. Everyone was screaming alright! :-))

A previously unpublished shot from September 2015. One that remained in the archives as I since found myself being really averse to photographing people using mobile phones for calls. A personal take as you never know if it's an important call with bad news or something. Anyhow, I do remember that she was flattered when I took this and broke out into a smile. Enjoy!
