The 'heart' of the Anemones, what a beautiful world in there!
Anemone coronaria (poppy anemone popularly in English, Spanish marigold, "dağ lalesi" in Turkish, "Kalanit" in Hebrew, "Shaqa'iq An-Nu'man" in Arabic, Ger: Garten-Anemone, Czech: sasanka) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.
This is not a crop, comp 'in camera'... just how I like it!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

Hippeastrum is a popular bulb flower for indoor growing, it is Greek for "horseman's star" (also known today as "knight's star").

Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

From the garden, late Spring-early Summer.I love the ‘dramatic’ lighting, the depth that creates.
The true despair of the painter, with the graceful flowers, whose colouring are nigh impossible for the painter to reproduce them.
London Pride is a hybrid between Saxifraga umbrosa, native to the Spanish Pyrenees, and Saxifraga spathularis (which is the plant to which the name St Patrick's Cabbage more correctly belongs, coming from western Ireland).
The hybrid has been known at least since the 17th century.
Some images are extremely close to my heart, this is one of them.

From my garden.
I never promised you a Rose garden, lol.
How it came about... I developed many a garden in my life, always multi coloured but also always without Roses, because I thought that they were delicate to grow and maintain.
Now Paul loves Roses, so, I stared tentatively introducing them into our oasis.
I was so wrong, they are going so well and bring so much joy.
BTW, if they suffer from greenfly: plant a garlic bulb near the root of your Rose.
It will often also tell you when you can expect rain, sniff in the air! LOL

There are plenty of myths and legends behind the white rose.
As one myth has it, the first rose on Earth was a white rose, and it miraculously transformed to other hues.
The pure white rose was said to have been tainted by blood, making it red; and it was also made to blush from a kiss, making it pink.
Another myth came from the Ancient Greeks.
It was said that roses were originally white until one day Aphrodite the Goddess of Love and Beauty pricked herself with the thorns of a rose.
The blood that dripped from her finger turned the white roses red.
These myths indicate the loss of innocence, which is the absolute opposite of what the white rose symbolises – innocence and purity

My garden is a very sheered garden, some areas get more sun than others, thus, some plants/flowers are earlier, some are later.
This Spring these here are somewhat premature!
Meconopsis cambrica, the Welsh poppy, is a perennial flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae.
It is a native of damp, rocky sites in upland areas of Western Europe from the British Isles to the Iberian Peninsula.
The plants can grow between 30–60 cm (12–24 in) tall. It blooms between May and July.
The flower is distinctively yellow or orange with four petals, and coarsely hairy green sepals that fall off soon after the flower opens.
The flower’s stigma has seven distinct lobes radiating from its centre. The ovary positioned beneath the stigma.
It spreads easily from the numerous small black seeds produced in the summer, from a long, ribbed capsule that opens with flaps.
I have wild yellow poppies in the garden, they are the most ephemeral of flowers.
Everything has to be ready before you bring them in, bang, a few photographs, this one lost a petal along the way immediately.
I put them in water, in no time the pretty heads hanging.

Eryngium or sea holly.
Eryngium is a genus of flowering plants with over 250 species that, believe it or not, are in the carrot family (Apiaceae).
Common names include eryngo, spiny coriander, culantro and the more popular sea holly (though the genus is not related to the true hollies, Ilex).
People also often think it is a thistle (Cirsium)!

Waiting for them in the garden, the buds are there but they are holding in for warmer and better weather.
They look so luxuriously pink.
Start out as a hot-pink bud, opening to this more salmon pink and end big and blousy with creamy-white petals.
So much beauty these flowers, pure eye-candy.

This Hot Pink Star tulip had a beautiful and interesting aberration, it made it very unique, also it released great emotion in me... it TOLD me so much... it cried out, in a silent way... look at me, I may be 'different', have an 'extra' petal, not the same as the others, and doesn't it make me look special?
