Spray roses refer to roses that grow with clusters of blooms on one stem or branch, unlike long-stem roses that produce one bloom per stem.
These roses create a spray of smaller blooms and are typically sold as sweetheart roses at the florist.

the Fuchsias are in bloom, the dainty little dancers...
They are doing soooo well.
Fuchsia from my garden. So delicate and pretty and in one of my favourite colour-combinations!
Fuchsia is a genus of flowering plants that consists mostly of shrubs or small trees.
The first, Fuchsia triphylla, was discovered on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola (present day Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1703 by the French Minim monk and botanist, Charles Plumier.
He named the new genus after the renowned German botanist Leonhart Fuchs.
This is one of the varieties, plump, with a red tutu and white nickers? LOL
Enjoy and make the BEST of every day! Thank you, M, (*_*)

Edward Elgar's Sospiri op. 70 - cello Sol Gabetta
Sospiri, Op. 70, is an adagio for string orchestra, harp (or piano), and organ (or harmonium) composed by Edward Elgar just before the beginning of World War I.
While composing it, however, he realised that he was writing something more intense, and so chose an Italian word, sospiri, meaning "sighs".

It is not just the colours or the weather that change, it is very much the light as wellIt is less hazy, sometimes more misty, but definitely more crispy.

The viola is a large family containing 500 species, they are on record in Greece from the 4th century B.C.
Later in Europe, it was discovered that a plant similar to a viola grew in open areas.
The plant found mostly in fields and amongst rocks in the Alps, hence Alpine.
It became known as a wild pansy (French: pensée). It might have been a romantic Frenchman who 'named' it...
A pensée can be a thought or a saying, short or it can be as long as a paragraph, a page, a poem!
Maybe he thought of his loved-one, dried one amongst some book he carried? Juste une pensée... lol.
These delicately fragrant flowers come in a wonderful variety of colours.
The dark centres in some flowers are thought to resemble little faces.
These are a smaller variety that I have in the garden, I could not resist photographing them in the studio...
Soon back in the garden.

I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen with my eyes!
Shimmering in silky tones, trembling with beauty and individuality... joined in passion like grown from one stem, they belong together.
I discovered these, a salmon pink I had NEVER seen before! The petals look 'waxy' but feel silky soft!
The peony was originally introduced as medicine. In fact, its ancient Japanese name "Ebisugusuri" literally means ‘medicine from China’.
However, due to its beautiful and now mostly double blooms, in time, many decorative varieties were developed. In Japanese society, it was seen both as a medicine and a source of beauty.
THANKS for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated.

"Creating is never making something out of nothing: it is the mode of perceiving. When a painter creates a picture, in some sense the picture is already there, and painting really involves finding that picture through a creative act."

Not much comment needed today. I just invite you to contemplate these pieces of made photo art. Like all conceptual art, this kind of photography requires one to have a clearly worked out idea before even attempting the processing. The photograph can be taken to a whole new level with just a few minor artistic changes.

They’re shaped like a wild rose and have a wonderful fragrance that has a powerfully invigorating effect.
The flowers are solitary or in small clusters, many species are strongly scented.
There are 142 native species, and as far as we know the plant was first recorded in the 10th century by the Chinese painter Xu Xi.
The Gardenia is named after the American doctor and botanist Alexander Garden, who discovered the plant in the 18th century.
Hope this makes you smile again, have a great day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

This black and white photo is of an original screen-printed poster with an image of Marcel Duchamp holding part of his famous artwork, The Large Glass. Original photo and screen print by British artist Richard Hamilton at his studio in Highgate, London, and now in a collection at the V&A in London. This part of the Large Glass artwork was called the Oculist Witnesses.
Original Duchamp artwork 1915-23, reconstructed by Richard Hamilton 1965, for a Tate Gallery retrospective exhibition and co-signed by Duchamp at the opening in 1966.
The Large Glass is also known as "The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even."
Duchamp and Hamilton were friends, and Hamilton reconstructed The Large Glass because the original had become too fragile to travel.
A totally different variety. Abundant.
Pure joy!

The name Chrysanthemum is derived from the Greek words chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower)
Chrysanthemums, sometimes called mums or Chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae.
They are native to Asia and northeastern Europe.
Most species originate from East Asia and the centre of diversity is in China.
Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC.
The flower was brought to the Western World in the 17th century. There are about 40 valid species and countless horticultural varieties and cultivars.
For many years, chrysanthemum signifies praise and admiration.
A chrysanthemum is considered as a noble flower of the Chinese noble class.

This image views like a love song... I love the tenderness, the elegance.
Find it a most romantic portrait.
Dictionaries tend to define love as deep affection or fondness.
The concept of love, however, is subject to debate.
Some deny the existence of love, calling it a recently invented abstraction.
Moreover, approximately 13 percent of cultures reportedly have no word for love.
Others maintain that love exists but is undefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature.
Love is one of the most common themes in Art.

A book by Françoise Sagan.
The title is derived from a poem by Paul Éluard, "À peine défigurée", which begins with the lines "Adieu tristesse/Bonjour tristesse..."
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

HISTOIRE de FLEURS... Rose
#AbFav_ANYTHING_GOES
#AbFav_PHOTOSTORY
Fire and Ice, Cherry Parfait... the names of a Rose.
There is this plant in my garden, a Rose, and it was the beautiful month of May... first the leaves and what a joy to see more and more buds appearing.
Then, one day of very strong winds, a branch hung down, bud and all, not completely severed, still some connection with the mother-plant.
Enough to slowly keep it going.
I watched it day after day, holding my breath each time.
Other buds burst open in the sun, but not this bud.
Two weeks went by and the sepals were forever holding and protecting the Rose, until it was ready?
It took over three weeks in all before some colour showed, I was beginning to doubt it would ever make it.
What joy when it deployed its splendour.
It turned up, reaching for the light,
Full glory, yet I could tell that, although held close by the outer layer and hidden under leaves, it had been under attack, from weather and insects, it was imperfect, no matter!
Here is this fighting beauty for all to enjoy!
Have a wonderful day and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)
