yes these are the first Parrot Tulips of the season.
Their textures are so interesting and intricate, a joy for my eyes.
Never had them in this colour before, new varieties all the time.
A strong and healthy flower, almost 3D.
Love them or hate them, Parrot Tulips are Spring's grand (bulb) showcase, big and beautiful, they are flamboyant flowers with streaks, ruffles and frayed edges.
Have a glorious day and thank you, M, (*_*)

Over the years I photographed thousands of flowers, with passion and joy, I never tire of them, hope you enjoy with me.
Another day, another composition.
A stunningly beautiful flower, exotic, well to us, not in the countries where they grow naturally. I always say it, one man's exotic is another man's 'daily'... lol
Thanx, M, (*_*)

Song by Charles Aznavour.
Another gorgeous Peony.
They are fragrant flowers, in colours ranging from purple, red to white or yellow, in late spring and early summer.
Do not forget up to top up the water, they are heavy drinkers! LOL
Have a super day and thank you, M, (*_*)

This bloom of Hydrangea turned into lace... skeletal... beautiful and delicate. I gently brought it in.
The flower spoke to me of essence, the spine; I thought of an Autumn bride, all things romantic.
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

Michael Moore premiered Fahrenheit 9/11 on the eve of 9/10 and this song is still swirling...
The Revolution Starts Now
I was walkin' down the street
In the town where I was born
I was movin' to a beat
That I'd never felt before
So I opened up my eyes
And I took a look around
I saw it written 'cross the sky
The revolution starts now
Yeah, the revolution starts now
The revolution starts now
When you rise above your fear
And tear the walls around you down
The revolution starts here
Where you work and where you play
Where you lay your money down
What you do and what you say
The revolution starts now
Yeah the revolution starts now
Yeah the revolution starts now
In your own backyard
In your own hometown
So what you doin' standin' around?
Just follow your heart
The revolution starts now
Last night I had a dream
That the world had turned around
And all our hopes had come to be
And the people gathered 'round
They all brought what they could bring
And nobody went without
And I learned a song to sing
The revolution starts now

Zantedeschia, usually called calla or arum lily( when white), they are not a true lily.
It is named after Italian botanist Francesco Zantedeschia.
The Zantedeschia species are poisonous due to the presence of calcium oxalate.
All parts of the plant are toxic!

a bloom and a bud, in playful mode.
I am doing what I love, making images?
Again somebody wrote to me how, on a stressful day, they open my latest upload, they feel uplifted and positive... the world becomes a better place... I'm only quoting.
Wow, that is achieving my goal! All I want...
I am happy! ¡Olé!'
Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

the Fuchsias are in bloom, the dainty little dancers...
They are doing soooo well.
Fuchsia from my garden. So delicate and pretty and in one of my favourite colour-combinations!
Fuchsia is a genus of flowering plants that consists mostly of shrubs or small trees.
The first, Fuchsia triphylla, was discovered on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola (present day Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1703 by the French Minim monk and botanist, Charles Plumier.
He named the new genus after the renowned German botanist Leonhart Fuchs.
This is one of the varieties, plump, with a red tutu and white nickers? LOL
Enjoy and make the BEST of every day! Thank you, M, (*_*)

'Discovered' those playful 'frazzled' tulips, new to me those 'frayed’ edges, new varieties all the time?
Frazzle frizzle dazzle razzle razzmatazz... all those words kept swirling through my head while I was again experimenting for a good comp and lighting.
There is much love in this world still!

I saw this in the grass, probably trampled by dogs or children.
Picked it up carefully and brought it home... to photograph...
I had to hurry because they are iconic out-door flowers! Love the cold and NOT warmth!
It opened up nicely one last time in all its purple and orange glory.
Another one of my rescues.

memories of Spring!
That is when flowers are so very available, I take whole series of them, for the dark days to 'work' on.
It is very pleasant work, aah and to see them again!
This was a bunch of Tulips with beautiful colours.

To me it looks like this tulip is taking a deep bow, in French, une révérence…
A bow for gents, curtsy for the ladies, with a flourish?
In english: reverence is an ancient virtue that barely survives and often exists in half forgotten forms of civility.

Timid Tulips, looks like a coup de foudre to me, lol.
These two Tulips again had these 'oddities', the curling petal-leaf.
That did it for me, the chosen ones to play with!

Like a firework display.
Saw a lovely flower shop in Scotland, always curious what they sell, and to my amazement saw these… in bud, bought two stems to bring back… as you can see: they made it! Survived the trip and 5 days till this.
Nerine, also known as Guernsey lily, Jersey lily, spider lily, is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the Amaryllidaceae family.
They bear spherical umbels of lily-like flowers in shades from white through pink to crimson.
Native to South Africa, there are about 20–30 species in the genus. Though described as lilies, they are not significantly related to the true lilies (Liliaceae), but more closely resemble their relatives, Amaryllis and Lycoris.
The genus was established by the Revd. William Herbert in 1820.

The 'heart' of the Anemones, what a beautiful world in there!
Anemone coronaria (poppy anemone popularly in English, Spanish marigold, "dağ lalesi" in Turkish, "Kalanit" in Hebrew, "Shaqa'iq An-Nu'man" in Arabic, Ger: Garten-Anemone, Czech: sasanka) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.
This is not a crop, comp 'in camera'... just how I like it!
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.
