LOVE the papery texture!
Papaver nudicaule or Iceland Poppy, with large, papery, bowl-shaped, lightly fragrant flowers supported by hairy, one foot, curved stems among feathery blue-green foliage 1-6 inches long.
They were first described by botanists in 1759.
Cultivars come in shades of yellow, red, orange, salmon, rose, pink, cream and white as well as bi-coloured varieties.
All parts of this plant are likely to be poisonous, containing (like all poppies) toxic alkaloids: ALWAYS wash you hands thoroughly after handling ANY flowers/plants!

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
― Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
I am NOT a 'WORKAHOLIC'. I only constantly aim to see the end result!
"Just Joey" is a Hybrid Tea Rose and has a fruity fragrance ( to me it smells like ripe raspberries mmmmmm) which wafts from large ruffled salmon blooms, once opened.
This superstar rose is from England. Just Joey roses were inducted into the Hall of Fame by the World Federation of Rose Societies in 1994.
The flowers are well-formed with large, high-centred buds, supported by long, straight and upright stems.
Each blousy flower can grow to 8-12.5 cm wide. Hybrid Teas are the world's most popular type of rose by choice due to their colour and flower form.
With their long stems, it gives them the advantage, over others, as cut flowers.
Most shrubs tend to be very upright, reaching up to 1.8 metres and are recurrent-flowering (flowering constantly during the season, unlike wild dog roses that flower once).
Have a wonderful day, and thank you for your time and comments, M, (*_*)

My garden is a very sheered garden, some areas get more sun than others, thus, some plants/flowers are earlier, some are later.
This Spring these here are somewhat premature!
Meconopsis cambrica, the Welsh poppy, is a perennial flowering plant in the poppy family Papaveraceae.
It is a native of damp, rocky sites in upland areas of Western Europe from the British Isles to the Iberian Peninsula.
The plants can grow between 30–60 cm (12–24 in) tall. It blooms between May and July.
The flower is distinctively yellow or orange with four petals, and coarsely hairy green sepals that fall off soon after the flower opens.
The flower’s stigma has seven distinct lobes radiating from its centre. The ovary positioned beneath the stigma.
It spreads easily from the numerous small black seeds produced in the summer, from a long, ribbed capsule that opens with flaps.
I have wild yellow poppies in the garden, they are the most ephemeral of flowers.
Everything has to be ready before you bring them in, bang, a few photographs, this one lost a petal along the way immediately.
I put them in water, in no time the pretty heads hanging.
Wishing you all the best and thank you, M, (*_*)

PLEASE VIEW LARGE.
From the garden, late Spring-early Summer.I love the ‘dramatic’ lighting, the depth that creates.
The true despair of the painter, with the graceful flowers, whose colouring are nigh impossible for the painter to reproduce them.
London Pride is a hybrid between Saxifraga umbrosa, native to the Spanish Pyrenees, and Saxifraga spathularis (which is the plant to which the name St Patrick's Cabbage more correctly belongs, coming from western Ireland).
The hybrid has been known at least since the 17th century.
Some images are extremely close to my heart, this is one of them.
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, hope you all had a great time!

#abfav_ROMANTIC_SEASON
There are people who 'talk' to the flowers and plants?
Me, I just 'listen' to them, I open the wrapping, they fall open on the table and tell me.
The closer I looked the more it invited me in, to listen yet keeping the center of the flower still very secret...
Giving my flowers SOUL?

For Easter...
More of my 'creative' images, while I had everything out... I always experience that one idea brings on another and then I am feverishly working away, time flies and nothing goes fast enough... my actions can't follow my brain lol, it's not easy being a 'creative', nor to live with one... day crosses into night, I forget to eat or drink, I'm in my own world.
Hope you like it as much as I do, thanx for your time, M, (*_*)

More from my garden.
Honeysuckle (Lonicera) are popular garden plants with highly perfumed flowers.
There are climbing honeysuckles and evergreen shrubby types, which make good hedging plants.
Honeysuckle derives its name from the edible sweet nectar obtainable from its tubular flowers.
The name Lonicera stems from Adam Lonicer, a Renaissance botanist.
The flowers have a heavenly scent and attract pollinators into the garden... as it is magnet for wildlife - this plant provides nectar for butterflies and bees, moths, which it attracts with its nocturnal scent.
Birds also eat the seeds.

A grand pas de deux is effectively a suite of dances that share a common theme, often symbolic of a love story or the partnership inherent in love, following each other’s movements.

Raspberries, not only are they delicious but they rank near the top of all fruits for antioxidant strength!
Raspberry derives its name from raspise, "a sweet rose-colored wine" (mid-15th century), from the Anglo-Latin vinum raspeys, or from raspoie, meaning "thicket", of Germanic origin.
The name may have been influenced by its appearance as having a rough surface related to Old English rasp or "rough berry".
