SWAY WITH ME.. TULIPS
Bendy Tulips, in-sync, swaying to a melody only they can hear...
All I have to do is use my eyes= my tools, my capital.

Roses I cut from our garden, on the FIRST day of the Year!!!
I had not had the time to prune the roses, that, or when I did have time, the weather was too dreadful to go out!
I decided to leave it for early Spring.
Woke up, that first fresh morning, looking forward to a nice long breakfast, opened the curtains, yuk.. four small buds on the rosebush were again being thrashed about in bursts of wind.
The breakfast became shorter than intended... I got dressed and ready, went out armed with my secateurs, brought them in, I saw the leaves were quite damaged.
For the first 2 days nothing happened, despite my encouragement (LOL)... on the third day, YESSS, they were opening... To my amazement, I always thought they were pure white... but no, they had pink edges!
Some damage, but hey, perfection=boring?
A true WINTER-ROSE!
THANK you and take care, M, (*_*)

Appearing into my space, now trying from the other side.
Some just HAVE to be portrayed, lol
From Old French lupin, from Latin lupinus (“pertaining to the wolf”).
The reason for association of the plant with the wolf is unclear.
Seeds of various species of lupins have been used as a food for over 3000 years around the Mediterranean and for as long as 6000 years in the Andean highland.
But this here is an ornamental Lupin.

Like liquid gold, the evolution of the delicious flowers, from bud to bloom.
Those huge heads, so layered, all coming out of this one bud, this bud unfurling and displaying all this beauty... it NEVER ceases to amaze me.

Camellia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Theaceae.
They are found in eastern and southern Asia, from the Himalayas east to Japan and Indonesia.
There are 100–300 described species, with some controversy over the exact number.
There are also around 3,000 hybrids.

DIGNITY in BLUE, Centaurea Montana.
Centaurea is a genus of between 350 and 600 species of herbaceous thistle-like flowering plants in the family Asteraceae.
Members of the genus are found only north of the equator, mostly in the Eastern Hemisphere.
Common names for this genus are centaury, centory, starthistles, knapweeds, centaureas and the more ambiguous "bluets" (in French); a vernacular name used for these plants in parts of England is common knapweed.
A classic cottage garden plant, the blue cornflowers cut well for arrangements and they are attractive to bees and other pollinators.

#AbFav_AUTUMN_SEASON
Speak of childhood memories!!!
Found under a tree in bonnie Scotland.
Maple trees (Acer) produce winged seeds called double samaras, which twirl to the ground in late summer or early fall.
They resemble helicopters in motion, earning them the common name of helicopters or whirligigs.
The seeds vary slightly in size and colouring among species, but all produce winged seeds affectionately called helicopters.
The innocent fun you could have with those twirly thingies, throwing them up, running after them (kept us fit!), guarding and treasuring your 'best' ones!
Used the ring flash on this.
Now, DO NOT rush out to get one of those!
It is not a priority, has quite 'limited' usage, is particular and specific and not the easiest to use!
I use it together with other sources of lighting, but that's my game, my challenge (obsession?) literally PLAYING and PAINTING with light.
Have a fun day and thank you, M, (*_*)

warm Summer weather is great for some.
Honeysuckle( Lonicera) is a summer flower, proof in my garden, there was an explosion of flowers
Honeysuckle, a popular garden plant with highly perfumed flowers, especially in the evening.
There are climbing honeysuckles and evergreen shrubby types, which make good hedging plants.
Honeysuckle derives its name from the edible sweet nectar obtainable from its tubular flowers.
The name Lonicera stems from Adam Lonicer, a Renaissance botanist.
The flowers have a heavenly scent and attract pollinators into the garden...as it is magnet for wildlife - this plant provides nectar for butterflies and bees, moths, which it attracts with its nocturnal scent.
Birds also eat the seeds.
Sounds lovely in my languages,

Fuchsia from my garden. So delicate and pretty and in one of my favourite colour-combinations!
Fuchsia is a genus of flowering plants that consists mostly of shrubs or small trees.
The first, Fuchsia triphylla, was discovered on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola (present day Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1703 by the French Minim monk and botanist, Charles Plumier.
He named the new genus after the renowned German botanist Leonhart Fuchs.

We always have a smaller studio in our home, in between things there is time for some of my favourite photography, playing with lights...
Went to the 'end of the market' for a cheap deal on flowers (my props), 6 bunches for £ 2, chose from whatever is left.
I was fortunate, blue Irises, blue Hyacinths, pink Tulips, Tiger Lilies, what a delight, they perfume our whole house!

Brought these, as they looked ready, only when I looked through the viewer did I spot the bumble bee, it stayed there the whole time, I thought is was dead, but no, it was just gorging on the pollen.
After the shoot, I put it outside and loaded, it flew off in freedom!
Thistle is the common name of a group of flowering plants characterised by leaves with sharp prickles on the margins, mostly in the family Asteraceae.
Prickles occur all over the plant – on surfaces such as those of the stem and flat parts of leaves.
These are an adaptation that protects the plant against herbivorous animals, discouraging them from feeding on the plant.
Interesting bit: Carduus is the Latin term for a thistle (hence cardoon, and chardon in French), and Cardonnacum is the Latin word for a place with thistles.
This is believed to be the origin of name of the Burgundy village of Chardonnay, Saône-et-Loire, which in turn is thought to be the home of the famous Chardonnay grape variety.

Another one of my 'FLOWER-STUDIES'.
PART I
Dandelions are once again sprouting up all over, prompting the city, lawn-care specialists and amateur gardeners alike to again declare war on the broad leaf weed.
A dandelion is really many tiny flowers bunched together.
Each little flower becomes a seed...
We don't like them in our gardens.
AND YET: The dandelion plant is a beneficial weed, with a wide range of uses, and is even a good companion plant for gardening.
Its taproot will bring up nutrients for shallower-rooting plants, and add minerals and nitrogen to soil.
It is also known to attract pollinating insects and release ethylene gas which helps fruit to ripen.
Taraxacum seeds are an important food source for certain birds.
Great in a salad etc...
Take care, be safe!

The blackberry is an edible fruit produced by many species in the genus Rubus in the family Rosaceae.
Very thorny!
Blackberry fruits are red before they are ripe, leading to an old expression that "blackberries are red when they're green".
The seeds contain oil rich in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) fats as well as protein, dietary fibre, carotenoids, ellagitannins, and ellagic acid.
Folklore in the United Kingdom tells that blackberries should not be picked after Old Michaelmas Day (11 October) as the devil (or a Púca) has made them unfit to eat by stepping, spitting or fouling on them.
There is some value in this legend as autumn's wetter and cooler weather often allows the fruit to become infected by various molds such as Botryotinia which give the fruit an unpleasant look and may be toxic.

How do I do this??
Minute amounts of water, windfall samples - organic and mineral - are collected from the very landscape depicted within each picture - and chemically bonded with the film over 12 months. The result: a developed film and unedited, printed images that are somewhere between a classic photograph and a totally abstract image, depicting the interaction between fundamental chemical elements present at each place & time, representing a more visceral and literal experience of being present in landscapes in a constant state of natural or unnatural flux.

Sacrebleu is an old French profanity, meant as a cry of surprise or anger.
I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen, with my eyes!
A beautiful Blue Iris, just awakening and unfurling and being hit by light!!!
Sacrebleu, it SCREAMED!!! So very surprised, LOL.
Irises can be very showy.
Hope this makes you smile again, have a good day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)
