All art is but imitation of nature.-- Seneca (Letters from a Stoic - Letter LXV: On the First Cause)
The universe itself is God and the universal outpouring of its soul. --Chrysippus (Quoted by Cicero in De Natura Deorum)
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats
Compositionally Challenged week 25 is Smiles. This is SOOC. I was walking around, camera in hand, looking for something for Week 25. Charlie ran in front of me, flopped down, and started squirming. I pointed the camera at him, and this was the shot I found right in front of me.
Whenever my cats do that, I always think it's their way of saying "Aren't I cute? Don't you feel the need to stop what you're doing and pay attention to me?"
How can I ignore that?
How can I not smile?
Compositionally Challenged week 4 is Muted Color. A weathered fence reflected in a drainage ditch on a cloudy day. In-camera film simulation set to Astia for softer color and a more subdued look.
Think it was a puff ball!! I loved the way that the droplets formed such perfect little spheres, I guess, due to the 'dusty' composition of the remains of the fungus!

This is an edited version of this photo that I posted to Flickr Friday. I rushed through the process of taking this picture as soon as I got the idea for it. and as soon as I had it on the computer I posted it. so after looking at the thing for a while I went back to photo shop and took out the thermostat and a couple of bright spots in the lower third and now to me the composition feels more balanced.
I thought that I would share this with you. Composition plays a major role in every image you shoot. Even a simple headshot. This headshot incorporated the use of the Rule of Thirds, 1/3 - 2/3 Rule, S Curve, Shallow DOF, and a Frame. #learnphotography #photographer #photography #composition #woman #photo
