The air was freezing. The remote control warned me the battery on the drone was too cold. Looking down, the fading daylight played around these massive chunks of ice. The image reminded me of a broken window. Or an abstract modernist painting. With no people around, these mountains of ice looked so much smaller from above. Battery low...

Compositionally Challenged week 32 is The 'Eyes' have it.
The eyes, and the facial structure around them, portray emotion and I wanted to illustrate that for this challenge. So I stood in front of a mirror and made faces at myself. The camera was set on 'Creative Shot' which creates multiple images with effects. Then I sat down at the computer and cropped as per the challenge requirement.

This doesn't even look "real" to me! Trinity just perfectly posed and placed herself into this vignette... I had to quickly grab this shot before she moved her head.
I'm telling you, this kitty doesn't play- she IS art! :)
Here we go with another shot from my one week trip in Kyoto - Osaka- Nagoya with my parents.
We were shopping one afternoon when we literally stumbled upon this giant badass shopping mall : 11 floors of shops, shops, shops and more shops.
Unbelievable!
But the thing that shocked me the most was not the absurd amount of shops, neither the fact that i guess 500 or 600 girls were in there (no trace of men WHATSOEVER. Me and my father felt pretty outnumbered at the time!) but the complicated system of escalators connecting floors.
Couldn't resist snapping this one from the very first floor looking up.
I've always been naturally attracted to shooting this kind of patterns and i can recall i was pretty damn happy when i noticed the composition and the lines in this frame!

This is my example for simplicity, I really liked the idea behind the shot, putting a bright red chair to contrast the dark roof top and blue skies. This was done to watch the air show from a better view. To create more contrast, I made the blue hue of the sky a bit darker to contrast the bright red.
I was on the second floor looking down and saw the great composition potential.
