Walmart has their Greeters. Not to be outdone, Lowes has come up with their own.
Every household should have their very own werewolf to greet their Trick-or-Treaters. And for only $112.49 (originally $149.99), you can get yours at Lowes home center. It has a motion sensor that wakes it up when anyone approaches. The head and mouth move. It growls, snarls, and howls. And the eyes glow with a green light. When it greeted me at Lowes today, I was surprised - and laughed out loud with glee. What fun!

Early light in my back yard brings moments of exquisite beauty in "compositions" I see in the full even when it is part of the whole view. This group of palm fronds is from what I think is a "Washingtonian palm", a "volunteer plant" near the back fence. It is now about 10' tall and 9' across It is growing more like a full bush than a tree. It has really thrived since the tall tree next to it was removed last year. (See those images with this collage.)

Dr. E would go on to heal the blind with his NSF-funded, award-winning Ph.D. dissertation which also laid down the foundations of Light Time Dimension Theory. Over the years, LTD Theory added foundational *physical* postulates, principles, and equations en route to becoming numerous books, with this one forming the simple, illustrated introduction. My fine art photography (writing with light) graces the books!

Acrylic and oil on a masonite panel - 24"x36"
I did an almost complete acrylic under-painting and then finished things off with oil glazes and detail work. This was my first time working with oil paint and I'm fairly happy with the results - at the very least I'm enthusiastic to work with oil paint in the future.

Dr. E’s Golden Ratio Principle: The golden ratio exalts beauty because the number is a characteristic of the mathematically and physically most efficient manners of growth and distribution, on both evolutionary and purely physical levels. The golden ratio ensures that the proportions and structure of that which came before provide the proportions and structure of that which comes after, thusly providing symmetry over not only space but time, and exalting life’s foundational dynamic symmetry. Robust, ordered, symmetric growth is naturally associated with health and beauty, and thus we evolved to perceive the golden ratio harmonies as inherently beautiful, as we saw and felt their presence in all vital growth and life. In the salient features and proportions of humans and nature alike, from the distribution of our facial features and bones to the arrangements of petals, leaves, and sunflowers seeds.
