I tried a variety of shots today, but ended up using this one. It is a composite image. The smoke was actually pulled from one of the photos I took for my Day 2 image of smoke. I was able to capture the smoke when I blew out the candle, but I thought this looked better.
Photo is built around the expression of being "crystal clear". Each crystal globe clearly depicts a new scene.
So, what I was actually doing was watching the LOTR bonus features about the making of the films and photoshopping old pictures at the same time. It blows my mind how they remove, replace, and add things to movies. How in the name of holy hell do you remove a human being from the screen and put a CGI Gollum in his place? It got into my head that if they can do it on film, I should be able to do it in Photoshop. I haven't tried to do this many times, so I'm not very good at it, but it kept me entertained for a few hours.
I don't love it - I think it looks totally fake. But it was fun to try. :)
And this park? Is where I'm taking Christy and Justin's post-wedding pre-reception pictures. Awesome.
CTG design and manufacture TORQdiscs. TORQdiscs are lightweight composite flexible couplings that are used in power transmission applications where low levels of angular misalignment may be present. The assembly provides lower weight than an equivalent crowned spline joint, a reduction in system axial loads as result of compliance, zero maintenance, zero backlash, low power loss, low wear, high fatigue resistant and fast, flexible installation. TORQdiscs are fully scaleable for different torque requirements and are currently used in automotive and aerospace product systems.
This is best viewed very large! A composite of photos of Rangitoto Island taken by NZ flickr meetups group members. Rangitoto is a famous Auckland landmark and was the last in a long series of volcanoes to erupt in Auckland about 700 years ago which was after Maori arrived in New Zealand. See the following:

Pictures taken in 2006 when the building was unoccupied and open.
Still some traces of use by CSOS but most of the equipment lyiong around was from its later use in Auroral experiments.
Note both 240v and 115v power sockets with a large transformer which could perhaps have been for changing from one voltage to the other.
There is a large bank of 144 MHz yagis used in the Auroral work with a long wire antenna nearby which would have detected any increase in Auroral activity. Also a VHF (144 MHz?) dipole which would have been part of the same work.
Several of the characteristic circular antenna bases used for radio intercept and direction finding with some parts of one surviving.
The main building now seems to be a house.
Kite festival composite - just playin' around trying to relearn how to stack images in Elements. :) Good for a laugh anyway!
I gave up on this one as there are fridges on this one and can't seen to sort it out at all, it might be due to the fact I didn't do the selection properly.
Composite node

Composite of 6 images shot on PolypanF using a la sardina lomography camera.
La sardina has an f8 aperture and 1/100 second shutter speed so I tried ISO 50 film in full sunlight. Yet the negatives look at least 2 stops underexposed suggesting ISO 200 would be more appropriate.

Lighting info:
Nikon speedlights. Two small soft boxes on the sides with one overhead bare speedlight for fill. Two black cardboard cards were placed just in front of the camera to the left and right to prevent lens flare.
The model was shot on a white seamless. The background is a HDR image shot with three images, -2, 0 and +2. The images were tone mapped in Photomatix and combined in Photoshop.
