This is a composite shot. The Milky Way would be visible like this and in this spot at a particular point of the year, but light pollution makes the shot very washed out. I put this composite together as a consequence of that fact.
A composite of the April 8th, 2024 solar eclipse as seen in Waterloo, Ontario.
We reached 99.2% totality. Ah well, I'll try to do better on the next total eclipse which is will be visible here in 2079 !!
I'm going to have to come back and try again, but I thought I'd post to keep a record and compare later.
Shot with speedlight and testing my new multi-colour reflector, using gold on the handle and silver for the blade.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery! Got this idea from a more talented artist! This composite consists of only two of my photos, the feathers and then the portrait head shot. It was HARD but fun. I think hers is better, but I loved trying!

An experiment on trying to create the illusion of a human reptile! I hope you find it repulsive!
Any comments are welcome!
Composite photograph made up of 36 shots taken at 15 second intervals and stacked in Photoshop.
Pentax K-70, SIGMA 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM. ISO 125, f/10, exposures from 1/125th – 1/50th seconds.
this is a composite image that consists of manual blending of 3 images,2 long exposures for the acropolis monument and the foreground (trees etc). Then i replaced the sky with a milkyway shot which is another image and added a few tweeks to match it in terms of color and luminance! I did not have a tripod and it was windy as i was in higher spot so it was challenging in terms of keeping the camera really steady!note: the galaxy photo was not taken by me!
This is a composite of 4 sections of a large petroglyph panel on Utah Scenic Byway 279 (Potash Road), near Moab, near Canyonlands National Park. It's a combination of human and natural art.
Fun with composites means things like having a magical bird that is a hummingbird from your neighbor's feeder and a dress made from a hurricane. This has more digital painting than I've done before, so plenty that I'm still learning.
Later note: I did a bit more to this one before posting it to my website, and a large version now hangs at the Loading Dock Gallery.
Comments and constructive critique are welcome, publicly or privately.

An alley 0n top of a wall, Manchester 12 2014. Look for the impossible raindrop outside the door on the left.
One more compositing trial: this of JJ into a photo with Danica. I know there's a problem with shadows, but I didn't feel the need to get too hung with this issue for this trial photo. It's fun to play and learn every now and then, but I am likely done for now. :)
And since it's Friday and there's a fence, so HFF and a good weekend to you.
One more thing: I usually post daily, but I will be observing radio since for a few days. Don't miss me too much. hahaha

Composite of two photos as I did not have a wide enough lens at the time to capture the whole thing.
Composite image. The girl is from DDG Text 2 and the scene behind her is a photo I took at a winery a few years ago. Then some finishing touches and tetures in BeFunky and iPiccy
A composite created with some older images from last year. :) Hoping to get out with the camera again soon! I've been a bit of a hermit. :P
Another attempt of mine to create an interesting composite. There are a couple of texture layers here along with several of my photographs. Critiques are welcome. HSS
COMPOSITE MOONRISE
There were no clouds for sunset but I shot this way anyway thinking I can use it later for a cinemagraph. But this works too! The moon actually rose from the opposite end.
Hope this does well because it took a long time to do. Don't think I've done one with six birds before. Taken at 6fps and then combined in photoshop.
what i'm doing there? i have no clue. where this idea came from? even less of a clue...
i could be taking away excess paint with the cotton swab?
or wrapping the cloud around the swab like cotton candy?
i think i like that better. but you decide what you want to see here.
and yes, i'm also no expert when it comes to 'compositing'/editing pictures like that. the last time i tried anything like this was last year for the same theme....
done for this week's theme composites (5/52).
