Components of wind generators at a laydown yard near Armstrong, Texas. The array of windmills streches for about 17 miles along the Texas Gulf Coast south of Baffin Bay.
That hex-head bolt at the end of the axle is hollow so a quick-release skewer can pass through. It sticks out 7mm from the serrated lock nut on the end of the axle. That's thicker than the dropouts on my frame. Will I have to file it down? I shouldn't have to, methinks. :(
UPDATE: It fits just fine. Worried for naught, I was!

BUÑUEL
Xabier Iriondo degli Afterhours (chitarre), Eugene S. Robinson degli Oxbow (voce), Pierpaolo Capovilla e Franz Valente de Il Teatro degli Orrori (basso e batteria). Una missione: tornare al sound con la bava alla bocca di casa Touch And Go e Amphetamine Reptile, che ha sempre rappresentato un punto di partenza per gran parte dei componenti di questa band.

Questa la presentazione alla stampa dei Buñuel e del loro A Resting Place For Strangers (La Tempesta International / Goodfellas, 2016):
Da un'idea di Xabier Iriondo, Franz Valente e Pierpaolo Capovilla, un nuovo progetto musicale interamente dedicato al rock più massimalista. Il disco, composto e registrato in tre giorni, prende forma negli studi “La Sauna” ,nel varesotto. Xabier, Francesco e Pierpaolo propongono a Euegene S. Robinson, storica voce degli Oxbow, di prendere parte alla nuova avventura. Eugene registra presso gli studi Monte Vallier, di San Francisco, USA. Giulio Ragno Favero, infine, si prende cura del missaggio e del mastering delle nove canzoni dell'album.
Nasce così una nuova band: Buñuel, dal nome del grande regista messicano. Nove tracce, trenta minuti di furia sonora, l'album d'esordio di Buñuel ci introduce in un'atmosfera purgatoriale, vera e propria cifra artistica di Eugene S.Robinson: una sorta di incubo a occhi aperti, dove voce e parole s’intersecano in costrutti sonori violentissimi, dotati della carica "elettrica" caratteristica dello stile chitarristico di Xabier Iriondo, con Franz Valente e Pierpaolo Capovilla a occuparsi di una sezione ritmica serratissima, episodicamente lenta ed infernale, rapidissima e hardcore nella maggior parte dell'album.
Il disco d'esordio di Buñuel è uno sforzo artistico privo di compromessi, estremista nelle intenzioni ed estremo nella sua realizzazione.
In chiusura, il tradizionale djset è affidato alla strana coppia Acus e Vigo. Non ci assumiamo la responsabilità per quello che potrebbe uscire da questa inedita combo!

One of the most exciting components of A+ Partners in Education, Battle of the Books gets fifth grade students excited about reading. A lively academic competition, Battle of the Books improves reading comprehension, builds vocabulary, and teaches teamwork and good sportsmanship. The 2015 competition runs concurrently at Howard, Mt. Hebron, Oakland Mills, River Hill and Wilde Lake high schools.
Teams of five students and one adult coach each read the same 16 pre-assigned books over four months. Selected by HCLS instructors and HCPSS media specialists, titles include a wide range of reading levels and subjects. Thanks to generous sponsors, all teams receive a set of books. In addition to reading the books, teams choose a team name then dress accordingly.
During the "battle" (a 50-question exam), a moderator asks questions that relate to one of the following: a direct quote from one of the book characters; a statement about something that happens in the book; a passage taken directly from the book; details about an illustration or picture. Winning teams receive prizes.

The tray gets placed in the proofer upside down, so it effectively creates a "hot" air pocket underneath.
This also lets me pick it up easily (it has two fold-down handles, which upside down means they're actually usable)

Bold and beautiful! Drawing inspiration from the warm tones of the autumn season, I have selected large bronze and copper colored beads to create this statement necklace. The satin metallic finish and crinkle texture takes them to an even higher level of sophistication! Between each bead is an intricately detailed, gold toned spacer. Because of the substantial size of the components of this necklace, I have reinforced the nylon cord on which they are strung four times for extra strength. This glowing necklace secures with an antique-finish copper trigger clasp.

Today's Belgian Air Component operates a rather smaller force of F-16 Fighting Falcons than did the former Belgian Air Force, but these are now true multi-role aircraft as opposed to pure fighters thanks in no small part to the MLU (Mid-Life Upgrade) programme begun in the 1990s. Belgium ordered an original 116 F-16s as part of a huge deal for the type that also involved Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway; a follow-on order took the fleet to 160. Of those, 54 aircraft now remain in active service with two wings. Belgian F-16s have taken part in coalition air operations over the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, as well as the Baltic Air Policing initiative.
