I was standing on the wrong end of the runway...
The tray gets placed in the proofer upside down, so it effectively creates a "hot" air pocket underneath.
This also lets me pick it up easily (it has two fold-down handles, which upside down means they're actually usable)

One of the most exciting components of A+ Partners in Education, Battle of the Books gets fifth grade students excited about reading. A lively academic competition, Battle of the Books improves reading comprehension, builds vocabulary, and teaches teamwork and good sportsmanship. The 2015 competition runs concurrently at Howard, Mt. Hebron, Oakland Mills, River Hill and Wilde Lake high schools.
Teams of five students and one adult coach each read the same 16 pre-assigned books over four months. Selected by HCLS instructors and HCPSS media specialists, titles include a wide range of reading levels and subjects. Thanks to generous sponsors, all teams receive a set of books. In addition to reading the books, teams choose a team name then dress accordingly.
During the "battle" (a 50-question exam), a moderator asks questions that relate to one of the following: a direct quote from one of the book characters; a statement about something that happens in the book; a passage taken directly from the book; details about an illustration or picture. Winning teams receive prizes.

Today's Belgian Air Component operates a rather smaller force of F-16 Fighting Falcons than did the former Belgian Air Force, but these are now true multi-role aircraft as opposed to pure fighters thanks in no small part to the MLU (Mid-Life Upgrade) programme begun in the 1990s. Belgium ordered an original 116 F-16s as part of a huge deal for the type that also involved Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway; a follow-on order took the fleet to 160. Of those, 54 aircraft now remain in active service with two wings. Belgian F-16s have taken part in coalition air operations over the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, as well as the Baltic Air Policing initiative.

UNA CELEBRACIÓN SINÓNIMO DE REBELDÍA Y LIBERTAD

La cultura congo o conga panameña es fruto del sincretismo entre componentes de diferente origen africano y aportes del colonizador español, reelaborados en función de las necesidades de supervivencia y de organización para la resistencia de los esclavos. Se sumó a esto el imaginario de los cimarrones, esclavos que escaparon de las plantaciones y se asentaron en las montañas en los llamados palenques.
Esta tradición, parte insoslayable de nuestra cultura, tiene en los pueblos de la costa de Colón a sus principales sostenedores, en los cuales a partir del 20 de enero se inicia el rito-juego, con sus pautas y personajes propios que incluyen al Rey Juan de Dios, a la Reina María Merced, el Pajarito, entre otros miembros de la “corte” conga, y los congos “plebeyos”, quienes representan obviamente a los negros esclavos, que se burlan, molestan, enfrentan y luchan contra el negrero o patrón español, representado por los diablos, especialmente por el Diablo Mayor.
Este enfrentamiento entre congos y diablos tiene su máxima expresión el Miércoles de Ceniza, día en el que los congos salen a la caza de los diablos, especialmente del Diablo Mayor, con la ayuda de otros personajes llamados “ángeles”, para atraparlos, desenmascararlos y bautizarlos, neutralizándolos hasta el próximo año, y ganándole así la batalla al mal.
Toda esta rica y significativa tradición folklórica, sinónimo de rebeldía y libertad, que es también una representación parateatral o cuasi teatral, porque tiene una historia, personajes, etc.,, viene siendo afectada y amenazada por las influencias propias del paso y cambio de los tiempos, por lo que es menester buscar mecanismos para preservarla y divulgarla.
En razón de esto nace el Festival de Diablos y Congos de Portobelo, como iniciativa directa de los mismos pobladores y cultores de la tradición conga, a través del Grupo Realce Histórico de Portobelo y de la Fundación Portobelo.
Fue en un principio estructurado como una competencia que luego pasò a ser un gran encuentro de congos, diablos, ángeles, músicos y cantalantes que creen, viven y disfrutan sus tradiciones, y que encuentran en el evento un espacio para la demostración de sus habilidades, bailes, cantos, vestuarios y máscaras, y sobre todo para la convivencia, el intercambio y la expresión de sus manifestaciones propias.

The blue image is kind of surprising. The yellow “Sun” filter filters almost all of the blue light, and the B component looks almost black, but when you enhance it you see this.
This is most likely due to the camera's JPEG compression dropping the blue information inside the disk of the sun where the red and green components are so much stronger. The “corona” effect would just be glare that hasn't been zeroed. Unfortunately, this camera doesn't have a “raw” mode.

i found a small teevee/video on the street. boy it was dusty but i took it home to see if it worked anyway. i plugged it in and it blew up bang loud and scared me. so i told it it couldn't live with me no more, took the back off it and took some photos of its insides to remember it by. all these mysterious bits and pieces, they make magic you know?
