Smile on Saturday: Tabletop game components

Orange stacked images.

I used to love playing with tabletop games, these figurines.

Thank you for your visit, comment and fave! Have an awesome weekend!😊

...on a circuit board.

For Macro Mondays: "Small and Smaller" theme, it's a demonstration board from Universal Instruments Corp. that I've had for many years. The company builds automated machines for placing and attaching components--both small and smaller--to circuit boards.

The image measures just 1 5/8-inch on the long side.

Der Sekretär musste eine (kleine) Reparatur an seinem geschätzten alten Oszilloskop vornehmen. Und als er es schon offen auf dem Tisch hatte, konnte er nicht anders, als das Innenleben zu portraitieren.

Secretary had to make a (minor) repair to his valued old oscilloscope. And when he already had it open on the table, he couldn't help but portray the inside.

A few things that would go into a bowl of cold cereal for hot summer mornings, Craisins, Shredded Wheat, and Fiber One, (not shown optional) walnuts or almonds and honey, yeah and of course the milk too, to finish it out with.

At least that's what I thingk they are.

Row of capacitors on the NeXTdimension color and video expansion board, for #MacroMondays #Numbers

Taken at 1:1 magnification. The capacitors are about 6 mm in diameter.

I've included a shot of the NeXTdimension logo in the comments.

Edited by Knobby Plastic. Sorry for the re-post, but it looks a lot better now. =)

The Tennessee Theater/Burwell Building is a building complex of three inter-related components under single ownership: the Tennessee Theater, a 1928 presentation of a "Moorish Movie Palace" style theater; the Burwell Building (originally built as the Knoxville Banking and Trust Company Building), a ten story plus mezzanine & basement Second Renaissance Revival office building; and two very small commercial structures sandwiched between a portion of the theater & office building. Located on what has been described for many years as the 100% corner of Downtown Knoxville, the Burwell Building/Tennessee Theater has been a landmark structure since the construction of each portion of the complex. The complex is significant architecturally both for the design of the theater and the office building. The office building, built primarily in 1907, was the tallest building in Downtown Knoxville at the time of its construction, and is both the only building built in Knoxville by the architectural firm of Richards, McCarty, and Bulford (of Columbus, Ohio) and also the only remaining building in this particular mode of Second Renaissance Revival in Knoxville. The theater, built in 1928, is the only movie palace ever built in Knoxville, and is one of only four remaining in the entire state of Tennessee. Designed by the firm of Graven and Mayger of Chicago, Illinois (who were originally with the premier movie palace architects Rapp and Rapp), the theater is also unusual for movie palace architecture due to the oval shape of the auditorium, resulting in a very shallow house for its size. Both the theater and office building were built by the George A. Fuller Construction Company of New York, NY.

On April 1, 1982, the Tennessee Theater/Burwell Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) for its architecture and history in Knoxville, Tennessee. All the information above (and a lot more) was found on the original documents submitted for listing consideration and can be viewed here: npgallery.nps.gov/NRHP/AssetDetail/afbb2593-bb92-4e8b-82f...

The Messerschmitt KR200, or Kabinenroller (Cabin Scooter), is a three-wheeled bubble car designed by the aircraft engineer Fritz Fend and produced in the factory of the West German aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt from 1955 until 1964.

Messerschmitt, temporarily not allowed to manufacture aircraft, had turned its resources to making other products. In 1952, Fend approached Messerschmitt with the idea of manufacturing small motor vehicles. These were based on his Fend Flitzer invalid carriage

Retailing for around DM 2,500, the KR200 was considered an instant success with almost 12,000 built during its first year, which was the highest annual production for Kabinenroller models. A maximum speed in excess of 90 km/h (56 mph)[8] despite a claimed power output of only 10 PS (7.4 kW; 9.9 hp),1 more PS than the 175 cc engine from the KR175, reflected the vehicle's light weight and low aerodynamic drag. The KR200, however, was 23 kg heavier than the KR175 it replaced but had a 10 km/h (6 mph) higher top speed.

The KR200 ran on a 191 cc (11.7 cu in) Fichtel & Sachs forced-air (fan) cooled single cylinder two-stroke engine positioned in front of the rear wheel, just behind the passenger's seat The engine had two sets of contact breaker points and, to reverse, the engine was stopped and then restarted, going backwards. This was effected by pushing the key further in the ignition switch than normal, whether intentionally or not.

In 1955, in order to prove the KR200's durability, Messerschmitt prepared a KR200 to break the 24-hour speed record for three-wheeled vehicles under 250 cc (15.3 cu in). The record car had a special single-seat low-drag body and a highly modified engine, but the suspension, steering, and braking components were stock. Throttle, brake, and clutch cables were duplicated. The record car was run on 29–30 August 1955 at the Hockenheimring for 24 hours and broke 22 international speed records in its class, including the 24-hour speed record, which it set at 103 km/h (64 mph)
