I thought that there was a part missing but it turned out to be stuck inside another (the brown piece on the roof that fastens the black knob to the steering system).

With just a few spare parts left, everything works as it should.

The bonnet opens, the fans underneath it turn, the steering works perfectly, the doors open properly. the tailgate lifts and turns the rear quarter panels outwards and the suspension is a most impressive feature . Last of all, when the rear wheels turn, the pistons move up and down in their cylinders.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the build and have Pete to thank for that. Whether I will be building any further models, I wouldn't like to say - certainly that will not happen in the near future. For the moment, I am Legoed out!!

Thank you to those who support and help me find who I am, and lead me over the rainbow to happiness.

-Would be my profile pic.. but flickr hates me-

Nice shot of the cockpit - what I see from the riding position.

Took some getting used to not having cables in the way, but quickly enough I was getting a good stretched-out position over the 120mm Cinelli 1R stem and Giro d'Italia bars.

For most of the ride, I was experimenting with hand position and found I really enjoyed stretching out best with my palms directly on top of the hoods.

Here she is almost ready for the road just waiting for the NOS handlebars to arrive in the post.

Two skylights, berber carpets, wood-burning fireplace. The French doors open to small deck on the back side of the house.

Finally figured it out... now I can run my low-beam HID ballasts are 38, 53, and 68 watt output!!

Kindof ironic that in the game, the workers build the Sinistar, and then he comes to eat you. I worked to build this Sinistar, then I ate lunch. Probably 8 hours total to do this. Not really sure. Wild guess. I took some artistic license when it came to the colors, cause, well, I just din't have the colors I needed. But pixel placement is accurate for that frame.

Hung outside on a sunny pandemic day. This quilt carries stories of a life and marriage lost, of old costumes, of fabric I held on to for years waiting for the perfect quilt.

In the end, its story is of resilience.

Completed on 7/19/2010. I suppose this could be considered as a mini-Zendala of sorts given its overall circular shape and symmetry even though I did not know what a Zendala was back when I created this. Used black Sakura Pigma Micron pens and graphite pencil for shading.

Complete!*

*At least as far as Section 7 of the plans are concerned. I still need to make a modification to make room for the VS bonding stud, and also add the rudder trim (which is a huge amount of work still). Eventually, in Section 12, the rudder will also receive fairings at the top and bottom... but that's not called for yet, so I'm calling it "done" ... for now.

For more details about the construction of the rudder, see the build log.

I used the wrong side of fabric for the sleeve and front/neck bands.

100% done and ready for field testing.
