Kiddo wanted to be Ahsoka Tano, a character from Star Wars: Clone Wars.

Add some white tights and boots and this should work fine. (There is more to the headpiece, too.)

Oh, and it's pretty much all recycled. The headpiece was made from an old pillowcase, the body from a t-shirt plus some scrap fabric from the stash; the sash and wrist cuffs from an old pair of Kiddo's pants plus some felt.

I might not be doing any quilting lately, but I've been very industrious at needlepointing. And this week I finished the last of this set of six Christmas pieces. I was so drawn to the set because I loved the reindeer and wanted to learn how to make Mrs. Claus's fur trim. And I'm so delighted that such a small motivation drew me to this because I can think of very few projects I've enjoyed more than working these six canvases. (Okay, the tree kinda sucked, because the garland thread was a total pain to manipulate, and all the beading was done with invisible monofilament thread that makes me want to kill everything.) And seriously, they turned out so awesomely! The deer is so old-skool sassy! The sleigh so full of fancy ribbons and bows! Santa and the missus are so velvety and fluffy and festive! The tree was so annoying! And the elf is... there! (The elf is no one's favorite, needless to say.) And I learned so, so, so, so much from them -- this was my first-ever foray into fancy stitches and man, I think these projects used all the fancy stitches. I'm sad to see this stitching journey end, but it's exciting to see where else I'll go from here.

MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE (Montreal Completely Circus), Montreal, Canada

MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE (Montreal Completely Circus) is a Festival that brings people together across the city every July with a stunning circus program. For 11 days, Montreal moves to the rhythm of circus arts. Its venues, streets, parks, and sidewalks become stages to showcase colourful, high-flying performances from here and around the world.

An event not to be missed, MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE presents diversity in all its forms and expressions by creating moments where the most talented artists from the circus world come together to perform.

Created in 2010, it is the result of a collective dream that brings together TOHU—the project’s driving force—along with the support of Cirque Éloize, Les7 doigts de la main, Cirque du Soleil, the National Circus School, and En Piste. Together, they pooled their expertise, resources and will to create the first North American international festival dedicated to circus arts.

Link, more than the other two, hates wet weather. He will go out in to it but as soon as he comes back in he runs around like a wild man until he is dry. He ran around a lot the last couple of days.

Finally, my Gooseberry set is complete. Pyrex has ran dry around here lately. I had to go out to the deep country to a vintage barn sale to find these two. The Butterprint replaces the dishwasher damaged one I found previously. The mason jar was found for $1. There were three on the shelves, but I was being good and using only what change I had in my wallet.

Anyone know about the pink and turquoise flower glass?

The newly converted Blessed Sacrament Chapel at the (liturgical) north west corner of the church. The fiery windows are my latest work, installed in May 2019.

Our Lady of the Assumption at Maryvale was opened in 1957, one of several new churches built to serve north Birmingham's Catholic population. The design with its unusual oblong tower (adorned with an over-large sculpture of the Madonna) has remained little altered since aside from recent internal redecoration and the addition of an oculus piercing the liturgical east wall (a big improvement in my opinion, so many churches of this date were built with plain altar walls which make a rather unsatisfying focus). The new glass in the oculus was designed by an old college friend of mine, Deborah Lowe.

Lately the apsidal space to the left of the narthex has been converted into a small chapel with a view to keeping some sort of devotional space accessible when the church is normally kept locked outside of mass times. I recently made two fiery new windows for this space which were installed in May.

After resurfacing them with patching concrete and painting. Now the long term test begins.

This was my first ever attempt at resurfacing concrete, and trying to end up with a smooth and level surface, with a slight slope for water runoff. Prior to the fix, the steps had a negative slope such that water didn't run off after a rain. Consequently, paint wouldn't stick for very long, and the tread surfaces had become eroded and rough.

I made this mockup with clean and general concept, and can be used for all types of companies. This logo mock up can be used very easily, (using Smart-Object).

Most people should probably just avoid this one. Every danger possible.
