Like in September last year, we went to London to meet up with Gemma's Brother Graham, his Husband Bruce and their friends who were over from Florida!
We also met up with our lovely friend Vicki.
We spent all Friday night in The Friendly Society, our favourite bar in Soho. Such a quirky, diverse place which lives up to its name!
We had such an amazing time!
At the hotel ready to head out.
comment from picture: "Thank you.. Im very very happy with this jacket! This jacket feels great, fits great as well! If you do decide you want one of these jackets, make sure to note the sizes. I actually ordered one in XL and when i got it the jacket was just a bit to snug. (i normally wear XL in a jacket... My Wested Wolverine Jacket is XL and fits perfect and has plenty of room) But they were VERY nice and allowed me to send it back to them and they made me a 2XL size and thats the one in the pics above. You can also just measure yourself and give them measurements and they will have one custom fit for you. One thing you have to know is that these types of jackets are meant to fit "SLim" or "Fitted" more than a jacket like the WOlverine jacket. But if you get the right size its very comfy, looks great and gets ALOT of looks! You may think im crazy for saying this but ive noticed ALOT of hot looking women checking me out more now ha ha.. i mean, im a very happily married man but still its hard not to notice the "Glances" and obvious looks females give.. lol.. on the other hand, its funny to catch them looking and then notice most guys in the room are checking out the girls and noticing them looking at me... pretty sure most of the guys are thinking "thats what I need... a red leather jacket" lol... Of course i suppose the possibility exists that most the girls just like the color red.... My wife laughs and just rolls her eyes at me lol.. "
When i was a child on some sundays we used to come here and eat "pastelitos de guayaba"

May 1, 2011 - Boston University professor of journalism Elizabeth Mehren and ballroom dance partner BU junior Danny O'Connell listen to the comments from judges Helle Rusholt-Yi and Dean Kenneth Elmore after their Aladdin-themed quickstep routine at "Dancing with the Professors" in the Trustee Ballroom of the BU School of Management building on Sunday evening in Boston, Mass. Mehren and O'Connell have been training together for a little over a month. "Danny is terrific. He's enthusiastic, athletic and supremely patient with his often-clumsy professor partner", says Mehren of her partner.

I went for a weekend visiting Gemma in Derby.
Saturday morning we went to visit the breathtaking Dovedale. I simply adore this place.
Sadly due to so much rain this year, the stepping stones were closed, and when we got to them, we couldn't even reach them to go walking on the path beyond because the river had flooded the path!
We ended up coming home early but it was still stunning and beautiful.
Steve Brodie became famous in 1886 as the first person to survive a jump off the Brooklyn Bridge, but it's far from clear that he ever actually jumped. Many believed he had someone throw a dummy off the bridge while he swam out toward the spot where it landed, surfacing near a boat that pulled him out of the water. Whether or not he really did the deed, he took full advantage of the celebrity that came his way as a result, opening a successful bar that traded on his reputation and starring in a play that climaxed with him leaping off the bridge to save a girl's life. And his name lived on long after he did. In 1949, almost half a century after his passing, he was the subject of a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Watch it here!
(Curiously, an 1886 NY Times account of his supposed feat described him, without any further elaboration, as a "long-distance pedestrian".)
UPDATE: As the Fensk pointed out, his wife's name was, quite appropriately, Bridget!
