[ Comment from professor in charge ] Koichi Ono
The lines unreeled impromptu, freely from the movement of the artist's body create exquisite symphony of figure and ground. This kind of expression is frequently seen in the combination of water colour and paper. However, when one tries to do this by oil on canvas it is apt to fail. Courageous efforts were made to tackle with this difficult task, though the process lead her to confront fundamental problems on structure of the composition. She endured persistently, and after numerous experiments wonderfully achieved completion.

A midweek trip across to Leeds for my second appointment (finally!) at the Gender clinic.
All went well. I saw psychologist and have now been officially diagnosed with gender dysphoria, which means I can now move onto the next stages and start organising a treatment and care plan.
In her concluding comments at this year’s UBCM conference, Premier Christy Clark announced that B.C. will be moving forward with a bridge to replace the Massey Tunnel and that there will be infrastructure planning grants available for Northwest LNG communities.
The UBCM conference is a chance for local governments to engage with each other and the provincial government and an opportunity for local governments to meet face to face with provincial cabinet ministers. It allows for an exchange of ideas and best practices, all aimed at making B.C. a better place. To find out more about what’s happening at this year’s conference, head to the BC Government Newsroom: www.newsroom.gov.bc.ca/2013/09/ubcm-2013.html

Veena, one of the most ancient string instruments, is a plucked stringed instrument used mostly in Carnatic Indian classical music.
In the picture is the Saraswati Veena [7 strings and 24 frets] which occupies the first place among them all. It can produce any musical sound perfectly corresponding with the musical ideas of the player. It could range from thunderous vibrato to very subtle pianissimo nuances.
All the fine arts of our country are not meant for just worldly pleasures or gains. They are the path ways to liberation or Moksha which is the ultimate goal of every human being.

This photograph was published in the Illustrated Chronicle on the 22nd of September 1915.
During the Great War the Illustrated Chronicle published photographs of soldiers and sailors from Newcastle and the North East of England, which had been in the news. The photographs were sent in by relatives and give us a glimpse into the past.
The physical collection held by Newcastle Libraries comprises bound volumes of the newspaper from 1910 to 1925. We are keen to find out more about the people in the photographs. If you recognise anyone in the images and have any stories and information to add please comment below.
Copies of this photograph may be ordered from us, for more information see: www.newcastle.gov.uk/tlt Please make a note of the image reference number above to help speed up your order.

l'oubli, quelque chose d’immortel.
- Personnage parlant
- Tout terrain sec (intérieur/extérieur, asphalte, pelouse, etc)
- Tout public
- Déambulatoire ou fixe, adaptable à tout événement
- Dimensions : 2.6 m de haut, 1.2 m d’envergure
-------------------------------------------
n'importe quel air populaire.

Sunday night we went to see our lovely and so talented friends Smooth Operator playing in Hedon.
We went for delicious food at the Camerton pub beforehand and even managed dessert before heading to see the gig.
Helen (the singer in Smooth Operator) even borrowed my Orinoco womble to wear while she was singing Wombling Merry Christmas, ha ha!
Les choses avancent!
sceaux.blog.lemonde.fr/2012/05/29/comment-sauver-la-maiso...

From there we wen to the PAck Horse an we were joined by our friends Janet and Phil. Then on to The End and we finished the night in Smokestack.
In The End with Lyn.

Red-tailed Green Ratsnake (Gonyosoma oxycephalum) is a species of snake found in Southeast Asia. It is a thin snake with powerful and rough scales on its bottom, ideal for climbing and moving in trees. It has smaller, smooth scales on its back.
As its name indicates, the snake has a green body with a red tail (usually brownish), and it also has a dark line horizontally across its eye. On the sides of its black tongue there may be a blue colour.
The red-tailed green ratsnake lives and spends its life in the trees and caves. It seldom descends on the ground. It feeds almost exclusively on birds but in captivity, it can be trained to feed on small mammals . The female can reach a length of up to 2,4 meters, while the male is generally a little bit smaller. Its average life span is 15 years. It reaches sexually maturity at the age of 4 years, and its eggs have a hatching time from 13 to 16 weeks. The female lays on average between 3 and 8 eggs usually between September and January and the hatchlings are about 45 centimeters long.
When the snake is stressed, it may inflate a bag of air in its neck, making it appear larger in size.
In captivity, it has quite the 'attitude' and may strike or bite at an unwary handler.

I sang at our choir gig at Friends Of Thwaite Gardens Open Day.
Althought it was quite cold, it was a fantastic day made even better by having my Brother, Sister, Brother-In-Law and Niece along to watch our performance!
Evening was another quiet night in at home.
