The first nice day I had off of flickr I went for a 3.5 hour drive to a place called Brier Island to get some lighthouse pictures (5). I have never been to this part of the province before and I did not get lots of pictures but I will show you what I did get. This was at a place called Waterford, the tide was out so the "Alan & Richard" sits waiting for it to return, Nova Scotia, Canada
Waterford is on St. Mary's Bay which is off the Bay of Fundy, a place that has the highest tides in the world so it is common to see boats sitting high and dry.

Tried a guy shirt on today that i got back before covid, No surprise it doesn't fit to well although admittedly it is a small size but It tight across the chest.
My wife and I were moaning about putting weight on and when i mentioned the shirt she said.
"I can't understand it you haven't put that much on but it's all gone to you chest! If I didn't know better i would say you were on hormones!"
I did say imagine if i was.
That leads me to this image taken yesterday. I was going to model the yellow dress again but i got a little to comfortable in this. Have to say the look came together nicely. the skirts an old one and the top is one of those that i keep thinking of getting rid of only to keep it. Now the point is i am not wearing a bra at all, no chest piece or any additions they are totally natural unsupported non hormone induced puppies.
You can see what my wife was saying I think and you can see how much issue they would will give in male mode lol.
Could do with losing a few pound though and with luck the new job should help with that.

(Juvenile) Great horned owl/Great horned owl ( Bubo virginianus)

Description: 2014-04-12 - Making plans the night before for a milkyway session that I so yearn for, it was called off upon waking up at 2am to a heavy rain. Making my way back to bed, I made a mental note to wake up in a few hours with hope that I would get some nice sunrise instead at the Putrajaya Dam. Arriving late at location that morning to a sky that starts to "burn", I was struggling to decide on the composition that I would stayed for my time-lapse shoot. After a few minutes (and losing some of the "burning sky" moment), I decided to stay at this composition for a whole 600++ frames. Alhamdulillah the clouds formation and lights fall was one of the beautiful sunrise that I have witness. The image was one of the frames in the middle of the time-lapse session that day as the sun starts to come out of the horizon.

A comment was made about possible damage on the bird's beak in an earlier posting. This photo definitely shows something occurred to it's beak.

ma se tipo io avessi notato un momento di stanca generalizzata, qui in flickr?
se per esempio io avessi notato che (parlo in generale) si è caduti parecchio nella logica dell'orrido voto di scambio, e del “ti commento se tu mi commenti”?
o del “ti considero se tu consideri me”?
e se questa cosa mi facesse incazzare a bestia?
se io avessi notato (parlo ancora in generale, ovvio) che spesso si tende ad avere preconcetti e idee stereotipate sugli utenti e sui loro lavori, o sul loro "modo", che magari ci portano ad avere opinioni difficilmente modificabili, su chi si offre alla vista ed al giudizio di amici, contatti, ed anche sconosciuti?
se –ancora- io avessi avvertito, con crescente fastidio, il fiorire di commenti standard, tutti uguali, alla virgola, il che urla il fatto che la foto commentata non la si è nemmeno guardata, perché si è –appunto- in tour promozionale, ed il tempo è tiranno (o magari denaro)?
e se in generale avessi maturato l’idea che flickr è diventato più un vero e proprio “social network”, anzichè il miglior sito di photo-sharing che ci sia?
sbaglierei poi di tanto?
oh, io la dico, poi, non piacerà:
anche quando io non posto foto (e ultimamente, capita spesso), un giro tra le nuove foto dei miei contatti lo faccio sempre.
perchè trovo sia l'essenza dello stare qui sopra.
riconoscere meriti a chi ne ha, dire la mia a chi chiede un parere, ed anche solo la curiosità di guardare foto altrui.
perchè, comunque sia, io dico che siamo qui anche per questo, e non solo per ottenere stelline, "wonderful shot", o patacche di gruppi "posta 1, ma votane altre 17".
ciò detto, io so bene d'essere uno che non si limita a mettere su una foto, e via, senza una parola, come forse sarebbe anche più giusto fare, chissà.
e so bene di aggiungere spesso parole o sentimenti, o canzoni, o elementi terzi ed altri, rispetto alla foto.
ma non sono mai slegati, dalla foto che propongo.
è una cosa che mi piace, tanto, alla quale -sinceramente- farei fatica a rinunciare.
però, non credo che questa sia una roba che spinga le persone a non guardare le mie foto (o, almeno, spero non sia così)
la differenza forse è sottile, ma io dico che c'è, o quantomeno, io la vivo.
in altre parole, poi la finisco: ci son volte, ed anche tante, in cui faccio quasi blog.
non social, però.
non scrivo per compiacere;
non scrivo per poi ricevere un commento, una stellina, un award,
non faccio il giro per avere riscontri.
in più, cerco di non farmi troppo influenzare da chi_posta _cosa.
quando arrivai qui sopra, mi parve che funzionasse così.
ora, purtroppo, a me pare che funzioni colà.
vabbè, se mi sbaglio io, ditemelo, però, eh...
che forse sono solo scentrato io, e magari, fosse così.
che a flickr, io tengo, da matti.
