I went for a visit to Derby for their comedy festival and to spend the weekend with Gemma.
Saturday morning we went to Belper to the river gardens and the horseshoe weir, which is an incredible piece of civil engineering!
The gardens are lovely and tranquil. It was a great little alternative to our usual trip to Dovedale - which we called off because the weather wasn't great.
Had a lovely morning though!
I love this nail polish, and it matches the skirt perfectly!

Today I am thankful:
1. For a KICK ASS workout tonight at the gym.
2. For matching nail polish - yes, I am such a girl!
3. That I see my Mom in less than 48 hours!

At last some time to upload a photo!
It was a long time since I didn't see these kind of bikes "de carreras" and I see a lot of them the last month. This was the only one I could shot and i have something to say: It's very difficult to photograph a bicicle!!!
I have to practise :)
..............................................
Any comments and favs are very much appreciated

I find cars with many bumper stickers interesting and try to check out as many as I can. I'm usually behind them in traffic so there isn't much time. In any case, I've acquired enough photos now to start a new collection which I hope you'll enjoy.
Please note that I'm not encouraging comments about the content of the stickers. That could quickly get into nasty arguments and I don't need that aggravation. We live in a country where people can put this stuff on the back of their cars. Let's simply revel in that.
Finally, I've loaded larger-than-usual versions of the pictures so that you can give these works of art the detailed inspection that they deserve.

Like in September last year, we went to London to meet up with Gemma's Brother Graham, his Husband Bruce and their friends who were over from Florida!
We also met up with our lovely friend Vicki.
We spent all Friday night in The Friendly Society, our favourite bar in Soho. Such a quirky, diverse place which lives up to its name!
We had such an amazing time!
In The Friendly Society. An awesome night with wonderful people!
My comments on the Economist debates about cloud computing site. I give references to Bruno Michel's talk, slides, and my interview with him, then challenge those thinking and debating about cloud computing to think about Bruno's research.
I took this snapshot of the screen in case my comments get pushed off the real estate by someone else's. I *am* a self-documenting machine!

A more "Full" body shot of Hershey. Haven't had the camera in about a month now. Lots going on around here. My Daughter-in Law is Japanese. She and my son were married in court a little over a year ago. My wife and I were the only ones in attendance. Her parents are coming in from Japan on Monday. We (my wife and I) will be meeting them on Tuesday at Dinner at a restaurant. To celebrate,we are having another wedding ceremony on Wednesday evening. Small gathering of about 30 people. Should be interesting as they don't speak English and we don't speak Japanese. My Daughter-in Law will be there to interpret(Hopefully!!) Lots of preparation. Hope you understand my lack of comments. My son has decided that I will be his "Photographer" for the evening. Lets see how This works out!!!
