After a comment on the last but one posting of mine, by 'jupiler64', I rummaged out this shot of a bus which I thought might have been the same one. Anyway, turns out that it isn't, but as I'd turned it up, I thought that I'd post it. 340 NKT, another ex Maidstone & District AEC Reliance is seen in central Sheffield in the ownership of famous Independent Booth & Fisher of Halfway. This operator of many wonderful aged omnibuses had recently been acquired by South Yorkshire PTE, who were to sweep away the majority of the inherited gems and replace them with less elderly buses from their constituent fleets shortly afterwards.
I can't begin to tell you how devastating it was to take a walk around the corner from my new office and see the tree where I first began documenting the Green Heron nest lying on the ground. If I had known of this I can honestly say I would have done everything in my power to stop this! Posted below are some of the shots I had the opportunity to take over the last few years. At least this isn't the spot I have been documenting this year!
About a month ago my other favorite tree that was a spot for the neighborhood Hooded Orioles, hummingbirds, mockingbirds, sparrows, and others was chopped down to make way for a bigger house on the lot.
Nice comments without copied/pasted group icons are appreciated.
