Saturday night was another cracker.

We started at the Scale and Feather, then we met up with my dear friends Andrew and Priya for an amazing all-you-can-eat vegetarian meal at Hitchcock's then on to Nanouk, then The Mission, and finally on to The Star to finish the night.

Hitchcock's. Lovely to spend time in the company of fantastic friends.

Date night part 2.

I went for a simple purple knee length dress, and this time round we went to one of my favourite haunts, The Star.

Because it was during the week, the place was pretty much empty although there was a guy who had his eye on me, and asked me if he could join us. I told him no - I was on a date! Lol.

With my lovely date Mike at The Star. We even got the booth that Gemma and I usually get, next to the DJ Box!

As I post these pics, it is the first Friday of December - and that can mean only one thing - I'm off to Leeds for Leeds First Friday weekend. Getting the lunchtime train and it should be a huge event this month as it's the Christmas LFF.

I'll leave you with the last set of photos from November. Back in my current favourite black lace dress again.

lol, i just thought that this picture was soo funny, so i ddecided to add captions.

Sometimes you just have to take the shot.... My wife and I visited Butchart Gardens as part of a tour booked through a cruise. It was one of those tours where you pile into a bus and they take you to a place for two or three hours, then you get back on the bus & return to your ship. The ship wants to leave on time, so the bus wants to leave on time, so you had better be on the bus... Not surprisingly I was trying to get as many shots as possible it our little window of opportunity. Just as the bus was about to leave without us, I saw this coy pond & decided I had to have the shot. My wife went on to the bus. (She went ahead, possably to insure she didn't also miss the bus, but I like to think she was stalling the driver while I did my sequence of five exposures...) The good news is, I did not have to walk back to Texas, and I was able to capture a bit of the essence of these amazing gardens. I want my garden to look like this! Around 100 years ago Jennie Butchart, the wife of a Portland Cement magnate, decided to turn their exhausted quarry pit into a sunken garden. The original garden was completed in 1921. Today, over a million bedding plants a year are used throughout the gardens and over a million visitors visit Butchart Gardens annually. It's well worth the trip.

These are the last of the 2020 photos.

New Year's Eve was another excuse to stuff ourselves with delicious food. So, Porc a la Normande again, this time with roast potatoes. Not my best attempt - the sauce needed to be thicker - but it was still delicious!

We're not as young as we used to be and it really showed this New Year - we were in bed by 10.30, we had no chance of seeing in the New Year at midnight. Except by being woken up by the fireworks, of course! Lol.

Just had 11,000 views, can't believe it - 16/12/12

My cat woke me up disgustingly early today, but I was not mad at him anymore when I looked at the sky and saw the gorgeous colors. A beautiful sunrise and a cup of coffee is, to me, a perfect way to start a day. Have a great one, everybody! :D

Thank you for the views, 'faves' and kind comments. All much appreciated.

With an impending weekend away in Newcastle looming, it was time to get to the salon and have my hair done.

These pictures are from before the salon.

I am loving my new Laura Ashley top - another eBay bargain!

The markings on this beautiful Calla lily looked exotic and quite tiger like...hence the caption.Outstanding glorious shades and colours. Were really striking when seen.

Best viewed on black.

Leeds First Friday night was one of the most sociable events I have ever been to!

There are always loads of people there, and so it is almost impossible to meet everyone you've arranged to. Especially given it is spread around multiple venues. But somehow I managed to see everyone I meant to, and even a good few more I wasn't expecting to see! A brill night, really enjoyable start to Pride weekend.

Selfies with Gemma in the hotel. Synchronised selfies these, ha ha!

Today is Australia day! although this photo has no relation to Australia whatsoever i just thought i'd mention it (: 4 more days till i'm back there.

Just got news from my boarding house mistress that there was a miscalculation of the number of new boarders coming this year and that i'll have to move rooms to accomadate that mistake. i'm quite annoyed because it took me ages to move rooms, put up all my photos and decorate it perfectly :( and worst of all is that i arrive last at the boarding house and have no time to do all this. i was looking forward to be back but now not so much :/

btw happy belated chinese new year to all the fellow chinese photographers on flickr! AND i apologise for the bad editing in the second photo in comments and the long description, this photo practically sums up how i feel right now.
