My first sighting of a 767 in US' à la HP colourscheme, still with the old registration...after that pic airport security told me to stop taking pictures...
A 1956 publicity brochure issued by Walpamur Co Ltd, a well known manufacturer and brand of decorating materials and advertising their stand at that years Ideal Home Exhibition along with a suggested palette of colours for rooms around the home using their paint ranges and shades. Interestingly the main 'Walpamur' range of oil based paint was still supplied as paste to be thinned with Walpamur Petrifying Liquid; this was at a time when, with growing "DIY" decorating, increasingly paint sales and technology was geared to 'ready mixed' product that simply required stirring. Equally Muromatte was produced requiring 'adjustment' with linseed oil or thinning with white spirit.
The company has its origins in the 1899 formation of The Wall Paper Manufacturers Ltd who had by c.1905 started to manufacture paints at its Darwen base originally under the name of Hollins Distemper. By 1915 Walpamur Ltd was incorporated in its own right within the WPM concern.
The various brands of paint produced, such as Duradio, Muromatte and Walpamur, were by the mid-1960s increasingly branded as Crown Paints to match the brand name for many of WPM's wall coverings. After many changes of company structure and ownership Crown Paints are still based in Darwen alhtough now form part of a larger international company.

Two National Express Coventry Enviro 400 buses roll down Warwick Road in Coventry in late summer 2016. I'll whisper it, but maybe the older blue and white scheme looks better than its replacement (behind) certainly when kept clean & relatively fresh. A whole city full of blue buses (150+ vehicles) is a bit of a grim thought. The two-tone blue livery just looks 'all-one blue' from a distance.
Okay... this is how it goes down:

Clare and Neil had a very clear vision of the styling for their intimate November wedding - shades of mushroom and burgundy in the colourscheme (but not too Christmassy), with table centrepieces of log slices with pine cones, log slices, conkers and autumn leaves. There would also be handmade bunting. With these elements in mind, I reprised the "Mr & Mrs Pine Cone" keepsake cake topper that I made for a wedding earlier in the year, with bunting on the cake to reflect the materials that Clare provided to me.
Loved doing this, the venue styling at beautiful Gray's Court in York was even more gorgeous than I had imagined!

I loved to paint this guy and look forward to doing so again soon, so much fun little details to get lost in. i painted him for the Fang competition in 2010, didnt even place but then the other entries were really good (did get my revenge the year after though). i wanted to keep it simple with him so i choose a pre-heresy colourscheme and then just went crazy with the colours within the white. i wanted to differentiate the skin on his leg but not go to far away from the armour so i kept the basic colours but added warmth which was lacking in the armour, to make it look alive.

I've finally figured out a paint scheme I like for my Valhallans, and here it is in its full glory. The next step is to paint up a model and see if it looks as good as I hope.
Hmmm, acually the next step is to buy the paints...

My new favourite building is the hospital in Kalisz. I travelled especially to see it after seeing a picture of it on Flickr. The picture showed it as an all concrete structure.
As we drove towards it, I was disappointed to see that it had been clad in an orange to salmon colourscheme.
Once we got closer though, I realised how fantastic it looked.
Even better was being able to pass through a service tunnel to take these pictures from the inside.
It is a perfect circle and quite disconcerting to stand in the middle of...
Miss Udall's Romany caravan.
Built at the turn of the last century by the Dunton family business in Reading and lived in by the devout Christian Miss Udall for over 40 years at Playden, near Rye, Sussex.
Miss Udall was apparently not a Romany and did not travel in the caravan.
Now fully restored to its original colour scheme.

Seen at the country-end of London's Paddington station is Great Western Railway Class 43, 43002 'Sir Kenneth Grange'.
This locomotive, during 2016, was painted in the original BR Blue and Grey that adorned the fantastic InterCity 125 units when they were first introduced in 1976. Another locomotive, 43185, was repainted into the iconic InterCity Swallow colours of the late 80's and early 90's, one of the most recognizable colourschemes ever to be placed on a train.
