This interesting flower was quite common on Cape Cod - but I've never seen one before. Does anyone know what type of flower this is?

Apparently this cod is supposed to wiggle its tail when you put money into its mouth. I can't see it actually happening though since it appears to be solid.

My friends on a recent holiday in Cape Cod. They are just the most wonderful friends and I thought this moment was very special.
Just returned from a fishing trip to Gnaraloo Station in the mid west of WA.
In the bay, where we launch and retrieve the boats, resides a huge cod that will come up to your boat and will rub against it in the hope for a bit of a hand out! : )
I got the chance to feed him and we captured it on tape.
