Photo was captured on a weekend trip to Lieutenant Island, Wellfleet, Cape Cod. The view of Wellfleet bay in the horizon is one of my favorites on Cape Cod. The weather on this day was quite decent, but it's been a very wet and stormy summer so far in New England. Works best in large!

This was taken on an afternoon trip to Cod Beck Reservoir, just outside Osmotherley. A lovely way to spend a quiet evening, on one of the first warm days of the year.
No, this is not in Alaska :)
This is located at the entrance to Pochet Island, Cape Cod.
It's a bit hard to see here but there's a road on both sides that tends to get flooded. Pochet Island is quite interesting, as far as a hiking destination.
Tribute to the Man of the Sea statue, located at Ílhavo, depicting the man on his endeavour of cod fishing on the North Sea, while his wife and children stands behind waiting for his return...

Randonnée facile qui offre depuis le sommet e très belles vues, le sentier est peu balisé mais reste assez facile à trouver.
Pour ma part, je me suis garé sur le parking du Togo, puis j'ai emprunté l'Avenue Gratadis jusqu'aux escaliers situés sur la droite en montant. En haut prendre à droite sur le Boulevard du Rastel, continuez votre ascension à un moment vous verrez un sentier indiquant le Drapeau, continuez jusqu'au prochain sentier situé à environ 300 mètres plus loin. Il vous permettra d'accéder à une table d'orientation où vous pourrez admirer la rade d'Agay et profiter d'un moment de repos sur les deux bancs.
Pour profiter d'une vue à 360 degrés, montez un peu plus haut, au lieu dit le Drapeau, environ 15 minutes de plus, cette partie est un peu moins accessible.
Restez prudent et rappelez vous que la nature est fragile et doit être préservée. Une randonnée se prépare et nécessite d'être équipée. Si vous partez seul, prévenez votre entourage de votre destination et des horaires approximatifs de retour.

While heading to the very pretty town of Trinity, Newfoundland, I saw a local processing his personal catch of Atlantic cod. He filleted the fish on an old-school wood splitting table. The gentleman had done this a few times before, and the fillets were removed from whole fish in minutes. The cheeks and tongues are also often retained.
In the past, cod became so scarce that personal fishing was made illegal. Since then, the personal limit per day has fluctuated a bit. Currently it is 5 per day.

Glasson Dock, also known as Glasson, is a village in Lancashire, England, south of Lancaster at the mouth of the River Lune.
Glasson was originally a small farming and fishing community.
In 1779, the Lancaster Port Commission decided to build a dock at Glasson because of the difficulties of navigating up the River Lune to the port at Lancaster. Construction was finished by March 1787, when the dock opened and could hold up to 25 merchant ships.
