Classic Space set 6926 released in 1986.

A bit old, but the Signal Tracker was a trusty and sturdy Rover

Starfleet Voyager, in the style of the new Galaxy Explorer set! As soon as I saw the set reveal, I had the sudden urge to do this. The technique Lego uses for the wings is very interesting, I'll definitely be using it more in the future for other builds!

The Frost Blade Sentry was used to patrol the areas in which Commander Cold and his force was conducting top secret cold fusion research.

Each Frost Blade included 3 mission-specific droids deployable from the underside of the craft.

For those of you attending Brickcon '09, this is this year's Space trophy. So come on out and represent! (design not finalized)

The Federation wasted nothing when processing the minerals, ore and fuels recovered by its massive mining operations. Dangerous by-products were recycled and reformed for other important uses. Even more importantly, many key fuels were exceptionally dangerous if utilised incorrectly, requiring acute physical stability during transit. Transport rovers were fitted with sensitive gyroscopic technologies and extremely responsive suspension for this task.

This Classic Space rover started around the lattice fence pieces, and grew from there. In the end this project used an alarming number of pieces for such a small build! Old gray forever!

Here is my latest Classic Space MOC: A 6x6 Transporter.

I reused the steering from the 6895 Spy Trak 1 but added another axle.

Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL LEGO SET!

Test driving a captured Blacktron big bad boys' bike.

A new vehicle for my troops of the CS-NextGen. The crawler is the perfect combination of a troop transporter and a cargo vehicle. The transporter offers space for 6 people plus the pilot and can load two containers. A full-size container and a half-size one.

If you like the transporter, take a look at the LIZARD and the hangar.

Best regards

Boba

Pizza-Friday at the base needed a dedicated delivery vehicle.

Thanks to Martin Spunkt for his amazing seat subassembly, for which this wouldn't exist.

The E2 Vendor by AGM is a simple merchandise drone for snack sales in cities, cruise ships, or amusement parks. It is equipped with two condiment reservoirs, manipulator arms, interchangeable dispensers, and a climate-control field generator to make sure items stay fresh.

Just a fun little morning build for the Mecha Contest (I figure if Jacob's submarine drone counts as mecha, so does this).

Benny is busy playing old video games (with Mr. Robot supporting him), while Kelly tries to recall him to his duty as Outpost Alpha Commander.

I took this photo expressly for HispaBrick Magazine 29 (January 2018)

Benny and Mr. Robot wish you all a very Happy Halloween!!

Well, almost classic space...

As a center of science and industry, Planet Frost is at the forefront of cutting edge research and development. It is not unusual to see experimental rovers like this one being tested, zipping about on the moondust flats.

This one is built on a 2009 RC chassis (bb0396c01). I saw one on bricklink for a few bucks so I thought why not? It is a bit underpowered (only 4.5v) but fun anyway.

Planet Frost is also the home to the Federation Rover Preservation Society. This group of dedicated enthusiasts maintain a museum rovers dating back to the earliest days of the Federation. Every once in a while, you may see members of the FRPS taking one of these ancient rovers out for a spin. Evidently it is important to drive them to keep them in working order. Today, we are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a classic model 897 rocket launcher!

Febrovery 2025 - 9

I'm a big fan of vertically-oriented ships, and this one I'm particularly pleased with how it turned out, especially with the semi-retractable landing gear.

Somehow the shape puts me in mind of a fish of some kind, and being a fan also of prehistoric life (even if I don't build it all that much) I'm calling this the LL313 Coelacanth

So I've spent the last while very hard at work producing something rather exciting (for me at least!) - A 2021 Classic Space Calendar. Lots of new images and builds, alongside some old classics which I've touched up. I'm so excited to share it with you guys!

12 full double page spreads, plus a centrefold poster containing every classic Space build I've done. The first 100 copies sold will be numbered and signed (first edition already half sold out!)

The model is an homage to an homage - I always loved Peter Reid's LL-497, his homage to the LL-928, and in a way it's unimprovable. However! I had this cockpit lying around that I'd built which was quite different from his cockpit solution (which so poetically uses the original windscreens in a modern way) so I thought maybe this would be different enough that I could have a go. The outline is obviously very similar to his, and though there are lots of references to his model, almost none of the details are actually identical. One of the amazing things about Lego. There were certain greebles I couldn't resist replicating entirely - the two binoculars next to the wing engines, the working landing gear, and the antenna for instance, which were the details five years ago which got me into greebling in the first place. Then there's other references with similar parts used in different ways. Anyway, the build is a sort of homage to Pete's wonderful work! And the calendar as a whole is partly designed as a little continuation of the world Pete created with Tim in their Lego Space book.

Oh, this is a very rare sight indeed. It looks as though the shy Chocolatians have emerged from their borrow to get a closer look at that handsome rover over there. The folk tales say that if the Chocolatians see their shadow when they first emerge that there will be six more weeks of Febrovery...

Prefabricated, fully sealed outposts were one way that allowed the Federation rapid expansion onto new worlds. These surface bases provided hubs for exploratory vehicles, and often contained larger scientific instruments for analysis that would be impractical to carry on mobile laboratories. Once a planet's atmosphere had been properly measured, tested, and transformed, less stringently sealed construction could occur on the surface, and these outposts could then be recycled for further use on new frontiers.

I started this build with the idea of building something entirely studs up using large panel pieces so beloved of later classic space sets. I got quite far, but I couldn't resist when closing up the back using more modern techniques, to maintain certain symmetries. Still, I'm happy with how clean this build came out. On the rear, I like the windows with horse hitchings! It has a full interior, which I will also try to capture.

40 years of classic space!

Q: What do you get if you strip the engines from a galaxy-class super cruiser and strap them to the sides of a single pilot fighter?

A: This.

Primarily used for planetside racing tournaments, and more engine than ship, what Shorty lacks in size she more than makes up for in raw power.

Are you shopping for a rover that can handle rough terrain? Then look no further than the All Terrain Classic Space Tank! It is built to navigate rough terrain for which tank tracks would be better suited, but the engineers thought that legs looked cooler.

I have become obsessed with this combination of this windscreen and the Rahkshi back cover. It follows closely in the footsteps of the Grumpy Gnat Attack Fighter, posted not even a week ago, which features the same combination of parts.

I was going for a crab-like shape, hence the spiky legs, claw, and eye-stalk cockpit.

Revamp of set 6832 Super Nova II

There it is: the space kart is finally real! Undoubtedly, the first inspiration came from Mario Kart, as you can see. I wanted to build something ridiculously badass. And I’m very happy with the result, even because it gave a hard time during the design.

The engine of this baby is so powerful that Mr. Robot has to wear special goggles to drive it!

Eat my dust, Mario!

A small Classic Space transport vehicle that I doodled over the holidays.

Many thanks to Locutus for telling me about LDD 4.3.11, which I now have running on my new laptop. I realise that the main reason that I prefer it to Sud.io is that the building area of the screen is twice as large and so it's easier to see what I'm making!

Rendered in the excellent Mecabricks online render farm.

Another entry for the Civilian Mecha Contest. Yes. More pics soon.

It’s just so beautiful!!! I’ve never pre-ordered LEGO before. Never seen anything I just had to have. But this…. This beats Benny’s Spaceship by a country mile!!!

"Now we're talking! This is an useful robot!" Thinks Kelly... and don't worry guys! She's not a spy! She's still the good old Kelly! She's just solved one of the biggest problems for the mankind: women's hairstyle in space!

Well, it's NnoVVember again, and that means Vic Vipers.

For once I felt the urge to participate in this monthly challenge; I've built ships with the set of characteristics that define a Vic Viper, but I wouldn't call myself a specialist in them and I seldom feel the urge to build something with those particular constraints during the month of November.

LL731 is pretty conventional as Vic Vipers go: two forward prongs, two rear wings, single vertical tail fin. And it's Classic Space because of course it is.

Out in the meadows there was a mysterious tower. Visitors were unwelcome and strange vibrations could be felt in the ground. Nobody knew what went on there...
