Well, it's NnoVVember again, and that means Vic Vipers.
For once I felt the urge to participate in this monthly challenge; I've built ships with the set of characteristics that define a Vic Viper, but I wouldn't call myself a specialist in them and I seldom feel the urge to build something with those particular constraints during the month of November.
LL731 is pretty conventional as Vic Vipers go: two forward prongs, two rear wings, single vertical tail fin. And it's Classic Space because of course it is.
Out in the meadows there was a mysterious tower. Visitors were unwelcome and strange vibrations could be felt in the ground. Nobody knew what went on there...
Some of you asked me to do it and... I did it!
I put them on LEGO Ideas:

I think I have no chance though...
Traveling through the cosmos has never been easier thanks to the Galaxy Explorer! A favorite outing is to find a distant moon and camp out under the brilliant glow of a billion billion stars.

There comes a time when every Lego fan submits a project to Lego Ideas. For me, that time has come!
I would really appreciate your vote so that this build might one day become a real set:

This build got a lot of nice comments on Flickr, Reddit and Instagram so I decided to make it into a Lego Ideas submission. It's very difficult for non movie or TV based projects to gather enough support on there, so I'm attempting to buck the trend of IP Ideas!
I couldn't help but make reference to M:Tron and Blacktron in this build, and hopefully new trans-yellow parts would be a nice side effect of this project being made. Unfortunately modern magnet pieces are rather bulky because of a change in the law, so that part might need a bit of refining. G and H are mine and my fiancée's initials; so the project has a little extra personal resonance for me too! More photos to come over the coming days.
"Pilot H and Pilot G were two of the bravest explorers the Federation had ever known. Working together as an inseparable team, they had flown to the farthest reaches of the galaxy in their Bubble Scout ships, discovering distant star systems, retrieving valuable artefacts, whilst always evading the rogues living at the edge of the Galaxy."

These small weeds at Lego scale looked like a tree with leaves! I had find the right vantage point to make them look like they were towering over the figure. Not an easy task in the Sonoran desert as everything is designed to poke and scrape and attach itself to you… #desert #classicspace #saguaronationalpark #beautyinthedetails #forest #weedforest #joecowlego #lego #fujilove

„LIZARD“ XVS-10 Light Freighter
Because some of you have asked for detailed pictures of the ship.
The color scheme is inspired by the current City Space theme. The ship is called „ The LIZARD“ XVS-10 and is a light freighter.
The LIZARD is the first ship I build for my CS-NextGen Team (Classic Space - The Next Generation).
The last of my space builds for this months New Elementary blog, this time using the new 2x2 white wing plates - (Design ID's 24299 and 24307).
Its a bit more substantial than a standard lunar buggy, and whilst working on it, it felt like it was taking few cues from the classic Citroen DS (it may just be me, but let me know what you think?)

This Spyrius droid (Major Kartofski) from 1994 always been one of my favorite LEGO minifigure. Interesting color scheme, transparent helmet and cute robotic smile. All these details make this droid quite unique.
In the course of the Federation's ever expanding exploratory activities, many extraordinary phenomena were observed. Particularly perishable specimens had to be analysed on the ground and so roving laboratories were employed to allow speedy analysis of the exotic minerals, flora, and fauna found on newly discovered worlds.
Solar panels allowed for much longer journeys into these boundless vistas.
The 40th anniversary of Classic Space keeps on roving! I actually finished this build well before Febrovery, but didn't manage to photograph properly until recently. The lab is detachable. It has an interior with two scientists, but I found it impossible to capture! (It also has a windscreen below the steering, though it's hard to see here.) All old grey of course.
The Frost Blade Sentry was used to patrol the areas in which Commander Cold and his force was conducting top secret cold fusion research.
Each Frost Blade included 3 mission-specific droids deployable from the underside of the craft.
Cinematic toy photography, captured with a 2x anamorphic lens combined with a 100mm macro prime, for a dual focus setup. My minifigure is using Crazy Arms from Crazy Bricks. These are from their Kickstarter for their new Crazy Arms 2.

Apparently Marchikoma is a thing. The things you learn when you join the LEGO Space Discord.
I'm not too familiar with the "Ghost in the Shell" source material, but I do love me some arthropod-based mechs, even more so than humanoid ones sometimes. I'm up for this challenge. We can build a spider walker.
Classic Space because of course my first proper tachikoma is going to be, the Aranea-class System Defence Force walker uses an AI and a pilot acting in tandem, in what I understand to be proper "Ghost in the Shell" fashion.
This build was driven by the desire to create something rather unusual. I’m rather pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for viewing.
A WIP ship. I'm going for a very smooth retro vibe. I'll have to hit Bricklink for more of the big orange wedge and blocky pieces from Sentai Fortress unless anyone has any they wouldn't mind parting with. With more pieces, I plan on completing the overall rocket shape (and maybe adding some big fins for swooshing/landing support).
Suggestions?
Kelly can't believe she's there, billions of miles from home, at Outpost Alpha, having dinner with Benny by candlelight and with Robbie playing a serenade for her with a violin (that in space is definitely complicated). And a six-course dinner, furthermore... CHEF-A-TRON was at its best: he made Kuybos waffles, delicious, but a little heavy.
Mark Wright has been full of mojo lately building huge fleets of Futuron style craft from age-specific parts. One of them, the CS Utility Shuttle really caught my eye with its combo of cool engines and ATV body.
I couldn't resist having a go at a redux build with more modern parts (and a custom screen) and with his permission here's the result.
Thanks Mark!
Llwyngwril Systems fitted an 886 rover with the smallest shock absorbers that they could find in their parts catalogue...
Recently I was in the mood to build stuff in space theme. Professionally speaking it's called Neo-Classic Space ;) It means that MOC is referring to the series of LEGO sets from the 80s but with the usage of newer bricks and more modern design.

The Scuttlebug was designed as a mining and demolitions mech. Featuring two missile pods, laser cutters, and flexible manipulator arms, the Scuttlebug was equally capable of breaking rocks or decommissioned machinery.
A million credits to whoever can think of a purpose/name for this rover! Maybe those are long range drop tanks?
The Blue Lobster is a small cargo shuttle designed to haul containers to and from larger ships in orbit. It earned its name due to the two large claws that it uses to grip containers, in place of any kind of cargo hold. The design has been a bane to anyone who ever owned or operated one; it's difficult to load and unload, and because both containers are situated in front, it can't take off or land empty. It remains popular nonetheless because the configuration allows for a much smaller ship that great reduces fuel cost.

Our tour continues...
Do you see that Spaceplant vendor over there? That reminds me! Pardon me, but we must pause our tour for a moment. I just need to grab a quick bouquet for someone special.
With that out of the way. we can get back to our tour...

Febrovery 2021 Part 20
After reading the Bricket Random Set Of The Day about set 5590 “Whirl and Wheel Super Truck” I had the urge to build the B model and convert it into both Futuron and Classic Space variants. The trans yellow windscreen is a bit shorter, and they don’t make the train doors in Medium Stone Grey, but I think I got pretty close!
