This quiet manually signalled route provides a direct route from the Midland Main Line, Chiltern Main Line and West Coast Main Line to the Great Western Main Line and Southern Region, passing through Neasden South Junction, Acton Canal Wharf and Acton Wells Junction. There can be several hours between trains (the previous train to this was some three hours earlier) and passenger traffic is not at all common.
