English Electric Class 37/0 1,750 hp Co-Co No.37 407 "Loch Long" (ex-37 305; D6605) (later "Blackpool Tower") in BR Mainline livery, at Bristol Temple Meads on a Weymouth service on a very damp day, 06/94.Scanned slide taken on a Canon ES-1 Program.
Class 37/0 No.37170 at Shirebrook with 58010 on 11th January 1986..New to 87E Landore on 30th August 1963 as D6870 and was withdrawn on 27th January 2004, then sold to Harry Needle in July 2005 who moved it to Long Marston on 29th September 2005.The 37 was rebuilt by Harry Needle to 97302 for use with Network Rail in 2008.

37175 approaching Tyndrum Lower with 0800 Oban to Glasgow on 26 March 1984. After my first night in a MarkIII sleeper the breakfast at Tyndrum had been particularly welcome.
The original BR Railfreight livery, introduced I think in 1984, was a variant of the earlier BR Blue with large logo, replacing the blue with grey. The early Mirlees powered Class 37/9s carried the livery from conversion from standard Class 37/0s in 1986.
Class 37/0 No.37169 at Shirebrook on 4th September 1983.37169 was new as D6869 on 23rd August 1963 at 87E Landore and was converted to 37674 on12th June 1987.Withdrawn in February 2007 and preserved at the Stainmore Railway,Kirkby Stephen.
37423 and 405 ran light from Norwich to Tonbridge to pick up two snowploughs and take them back to Willesden, seen her passing Hildenborough in pouring rain. 9 April 2019.

37167 spent 11 years allocated to Thornaby from 1973. It is seen here at March East on 31st March 1980, the time 11.00 and the load, a ballast from East Anglia. The headcode panel appears to have been sheeted over, possibly because of a broken glass. The loco entered Doncaster works for a repaint in October of that year.
Class 37 No.37127 at Bristol Bath Road 6th July 1985.New to traffic 28th May 1963 at 88A Cardiff Canton and renumbered to 37370 20th July 1988 before being moved to CRDC Springs Branch Wigan on 16th November 2000 for component removal.The 37 was moved by road to CF Booth,Rotherham on 20th August 2005 with cutting up being completed on 21st September 2005.
Not long after appearing in the first version of EWS livery and being named East Lancashire Railway, 37418 waits to depart Crewe on the 14:18 to Bangor. 23 April 1997. Hopefully, this loco will return to service on the East Lancs later this year.
