An unidentified 37 is seen near Peak Forest with a train of bogie limestone hoppers for Northwich in June 1982.
For many years these had been class 25 hauled, but with this class in decline things had moved to 37 power at this time.

37247 keeps company with 37214 and 31210 at Cardiff Canton depot on a mild Sat 31 October 1981. 37247 was renumbered to 37671 in July 1987 and spent a year working in France in 2000. It was withdrawn 12 months ago on 9th February 2011 and cut later that month.

Early in 1992 and into her third number carried, 37372 approaching Upton Pyne on the Barnstaple branch with a trainload of ballast, 17th February 1992. She had been most recently renumbered from 37159 after having been sat upon a set of re-geared CP7 bogies. Latterly she has become the basis for the Baby Deltic project. (t170-12f)
On 18th September 1993 the 11:25 Edinburgh to Inverness service skirts the Firth of Forth at Kinghorn. I was unable to record the identity of the 37/4, I believe it is likely to be 37402 though.

Running about 15 minutes late, Rail Operations Group 37 800 Cassiopeia is diverted into the up goods loop at Hellifeild to allow a Carlisle to Leeds service to overtake. The 37 was hauling a Class 331 EMU from Blockpool N to Skipton CS.

Instead of it's usual move to the carriage sidings, the 37 was kept on the platform due to a problem with 37401 which was diagrammed to work the 11.40 service to Carlisle. 37401 was declared failed and 37424 and it's stock ran through to Carlisle.
