The Aberlemno 3, class II Pictish symbol stone, also called the Great Stone. The ornate Celtic cross is impressive with two angels either side, one reading a book.
A hunting scene and the double disc Pictish symbol is visible on the opposite face which is not visible from the roadside. Three trumpeters are also visible.
Strangely the missionaries or scribes from the Celtic church did not record the meaning of the symbols in their texts. This was even more strange as Celtic christian crosses were engraved on one side of the class II symbol stones or cross slabs. The Roman church unlike the Celtic church did not allow Celtic symbols or anything non-Christian on their religious monuments.

The Aberlemno 2, class II Pictish symbol stone.
A battle scene on the opposite face is believed to depict the Battle of Dunnichen, also called the Battle of Nechtansmere in 685 A.D.
The helmeted soldiers are believed to be the Anglo Saxons from Northumbria who were defeated outright and lost their lands north of Northumbria such as Fife.
A raven is drawn feeding on a dead Anglo Saxon. The Anglo Saxon King Edwin of Deira may be depicted in this battle scene on horseback or the dead warrior on the ground. Two Anglo Saxons are shown having lost their shields.
The Picts appear to have no helmets. The Pictish horsemen appear to have stirrups so that they can hold a spear and a shield unlike the Anglo Saxons.
The Pictish stategy appears to be three ranks. The first soldier has a swrod for close combat, prottected with a spear carried by the soldier behind. A third spearman is in reserve.
The stone slab is believed to have been produced two to three centuries after the battle.

I’m no we’re near familiar with Wheeling and Lake Erie train symbols so I couldn’t tell what this train is, however, this is a unit train creeping out of Brewster yard with two of W&LE leasers units on this train. The leader 6990 is an ex FURX engine, there paint scheme as been one of my favorite for awhile now and I’ve always wanted to see one. Not only did I get one leading but got several other paint schemes on the railroad. Couldn’t be happier.
Having just finished their shove across the Saginaw River from North Bay City Yard, the crew on Y126 will throw the switch at Foss Jct (out of frame to the right) and then head south for Saginaw.
Meanwhile, my co-pilot for this trip gets another angle of the Lake State's gorgeous paint scheme.

The locomotive was built at Swindon and completed on 19th February, 1953 at a cost of £13,756 and was initially allocated to Owestry. It spent almost its entire working life in Wales, but was transferred the the London Midland Region for maintenace on 7th July, 1962. She subsequently had Heavy Maintenace repairs at Crewe between 30th April and 1st June, 1963 probably because the locomotive was earmarked for Royal Train duties in August 1963, when the Queen visted North Wales for three days. Its duties were positioning moves and overnight steam heating of the Royal Train stock.
She was withdrawn by LMR on 29th October, 1966 and arrived at Barry scrapyard in March, 1967, unusually still retaining its original boiler.

Locally allocated BR Standard Class 2 2-6-0 78058 at Chester Northgate (6D) MPD - c.1959.
Delivered new to Northgate shed in September 1956, the Darlington built locomotive remained there until June 1959. It was subsequently moved to Llandudno Junction, Bangor, then Willesden before being withdrawn from Shrewsbury depot in December 1966. It is believed to have been scrapped at Cashmore's yard in Newport.

My Lego model of a Southern Pacific MT-5. The real MT-5's were built between 1929 and 1930 in Southern Pacific's Sacramento shops. While they were originally built for passenger service, they soon became mixed traffic engines as more powerful engines; such as the GS class, took on the role of pulling passenger trains. Unfortunately, there are no surviving MT class locomotives. I specifically modelled #4369 as it appeared in 1946
