Taken at the Great Central Railway's Railways at Work gala. Class 2 loco 46521 passes through Quorn with the pick-up goods.
Apart from a few small details, it could almost have been taken in BR days, don't you think?

As a child I used to love my Lego train, but as an adult builder, I have built a grand total of three LEGO train models in the last fifteen years. So, I'm not an experienced train builder and was a bit apprehensive about building this one. It came together nicely and works well as a stationary model. However, I have designed it with the possibility of running it on Lego track in mind. For that I will have to remove the forward part of the cylinders, to allow the pony truck to swing out, and I am in the process of building a tender that houses a train motor and battery box.
